Rapper Cardi B released her latest track, titled “Bartier Cardi” featuring mumble rapper 21 Savage, just in time for the New Year. The track is getting mixed reviews from hip-hop fans who consistently compare the Bronx native to Nicki Minaj.
Cardi and 21 rhyme about (what else) b*tches, ho*s, jewelry, cars — you know, the trappings of rap success.
“I had to name it ‘Bartier’ because I didn’t want Cartier to sue me,” Cardi said during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week.
Produced by 30 Roc and Cheez Beatz, “Bartier Cardi” fails to rescue Cardi from one-hit status. Though catchy, the follow-up to her smash hit “Bodak Yellow” misses the mark.
