A HIV-positive man is in police custody accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy. Brookhaven police say a second suspect is wanted in the case.
Brookhaven is a city in the northeastern suburbs of Atlanta.
Kevin Walker, 46, (left) is already in custody, facing multiple charges, including reckless conduct-HIV infected person, Brookhaven PD spokesman Brandon Gurley told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Kelvin Armstrong, 38, (right) is wanted in connection with the crime against a child.
He faces charges of aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation and first-degree cruelty to children. He is described as a black male, 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
“Detectives fear that he may repeat this offense if not captured,” Gurley told the AJC.
According to police, the boy was approached from behind, and dragged into an apartment in the 2700 block of Buford Highway.
“Once inside,” Gurley said, “the child was held against his will and raped by the two men.”
“Armstrong is considered a danger to the public,” Gurley said.
Anyone with knowledge of Armstrong’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 404-637-0600. Crime Stoppers is offering rewards up to $2,000 for leads in the case. The tipster can remain anonymous.
