Offset of the rap group Migos was locked up in Atlanta on a felony weapons possession charge, according to published reports.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was arrested during a routine traffic stop on Friday in Atlanta.
Police pulled over the 26-year-old for violating Georgia’s window tinting laws. During a search of his vehicle cops discovered at least one weapon and a small amount of marijuana, TMZ reports.
The charges may be upgraded since Offset is a convicted felon in possession of a weapon. He is on probation following an arrest in 2015 for drugs and weapons charges.
Offset recently welcomed a daughter with rapper Cardi B. He has 3 other children by multiple women.
In unrelated news, Cardi and Offset face a lawsuit filed by an autograph seeker who claims he was assaulted at a New York hotel following the Met Gala.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Giovanni Arnold is suing Cardi, Offset, and the Mark Hotel where the couple was staying.
The hotel denies any wrongdoing in the alleged beatdown.
