Sonya Curry shared her personal story about abortion amid the news that the Supreme justices are overturning the abortion rights law.
Sonya, best known as the mother of NBA superstar Steph Curry, said her eldest son wasn't a planned pregnancy.
She first mentioned her decision in her new memoir Fierce Love. In her memoir, Sonya said she considered aborting Steph, but she changed her mind in the abortion clinic.
"There could be no Stephen," she said in a recent podcast interview.
"If I would've gone through that, there would've been no Wardell Stephen Curry the second. You know, God had a plan for that child, and, just the spirit interceding at that moment, in a way that I didn't even know at the moment was happening... just spoke to again the purpose of faith..."
Steph is the son of Sonya and former NBA star Dell Curry. He was born in Akron, Ohio, while his father was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
