Mariah Carey wants a court to award her primary custody of her and Nick Cannon‘s 11-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

Mariah is reportedly concerned about Nick’s promiscuous lifestyle and the negative effect it might have on the children.

Nick fathered 10 more children with multiple women in the years since their divorce. Five of his 12 children were born in 2022.

Nick’s 12th and youngest child, daughter Halo Marie Cannon (by Alyssa Scott), was born on Dec. 14.

A source told Radaronline.com that although Mariah and Nick have a co-parenting arrangement since their 2014 divorce, she’s concerned enough about his immoral lifestyle that she is petitioning a court for primary custody of Monroe and Moroccan.

Nick stretches himself thin trying to see all of his children when he can.

“The reality of the situation is that Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway. Nick doesn’t see much of them,” said the source.

The source added, “But she wants to put him on notice that he can’t just flit in and out of their lives while he attends to his other children. And she wants legal standing as the twins’ primary caregiver.”

Mariah isn’t trying to punish Nick, the source said, she just wants what’s best for the twins.
