The University of Southern California men’s basketball team is preparing for a European tour without incoming freshman guard Bronny James.

According to Yahoo Sports, the tour will run from August 5-15. The USC Trojans will visit Athens and Mykonos, Greece, and Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Bronny committed to the Trojans in May. He was a top prospect point guard for Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California.

The 6’3″ 18-year-old athlete suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during an off-season practice session with the team at USC’s Galen Center on Monday, July 24.

He was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday. Bronny will continue to undergo tests to determine whether the cause of his cardiac arrest was structural (genetic or heart disease) or electrical (something interfering with the heart’s electrical signal).

It’s too soon to tell if Bronny’s cardiac arrest is career-ending. But Bronny’s parents aren’t taking any chances.

The James family stepped out for dinner at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica on Friday, July 28. It was their first public outing since Bronny’s health scare.

On Saturday, July 29, LeBron James shared video of Bronny playing the piano at home. The proud dad captioned the video:

“GRAND RISING!! God Is Great! @bronny YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Simple as that! Keep going Young !!! We’re here right with you every step of the way! #JamesGang.”
