Porsha Williams’ estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, is in financial trouble after failure to pay a lawsuit judgment to a private jet company.
Last week, the reality TV star filed for divorce from the Nigerian businessman after court documents revealed his extensive history of fraud.
According to court documents, Simon, 59, owes nearly $1 million in defaulted lease payments to NetJets, the world’s largest private jet company.
NetJets accused Simon’s company, Simcol Petroleum Limited Company, LLC, of failing to make payments after reaching a settlement both parties agreed upon.
The lawsuit claims Simon failed to pay $814,296.11 after initially making a $25,000 payment in September 2023.
NetJets is seeking the remaining amount which covered management fees, leasing fees and hourly fuel fees.
Simon reportedly purchased a timeshare jet from NetJets back in 2020. He had unlimited use of the private jet although he didn’t actually own it.
As previously reported, Simon overstayed his work visa by some 30+ years, and now he is at risk of deportation.
Just days after calling Simon her “ride or die” on Instagram, Porsha filed for divorce from her husband of 15 months.
But friends say the divorce is merely a formality to protect her assets from legal judgments. And also for a storyline on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Porsha reportedly retained local divorce attorney Randall Kessler, who also handled her divorce from Kordell Stewart in 2013.
Bravo recently announced that Porsha was returning to RHOA after a three-year hiatus.
