Cardi B sparked outrage after dissing Coach bags on her “Like What (Freestyle).”

Cardi B rapped, “like a Coach bag, baby this ain’t what you want.” The lyric went viral and angered women who are Coach fans.

Many people believe Cardi B was dissing women who buy Coach bags.

In a video clip on Instagram, Cardi explained that the verse was inspired by rapper Cam’ron.

Cardi said she wore Coach rain boots in high school. But she stopped wearing them when she heard Cam’ron diss Coach on his 2011 track “Hey Muma.”

“Yo, girl, get a notepad (for what?)
    You ain’t got no swag
And you so fine, it’s so sad
Still riding coach, need a Coach bag
Let me coach you, no Coach tags (what that mean?)
Get rid of that Coach bag.”

Cardi explained that the girls in her high school got rid of their Coach bags after Cam’ron dropped his track.

“So in 2011, everybody started getting rid of their Coach sh*t,” she explained.

“I’m not trying to be on some rich sh*t and everything. This is just a real New York sh*t,” she said in the video.

“I’ma buy me a Coach bag tomorrow, ya hear me? I’m not tryin’ to offend anybody,” she added.

On Tuesday, she posted a TikTok video that shows her purchasing a Coach bag.

She captioned the video, “Come with me to buy a Coach bag.”
