Lizzo called out body-shamers in a new video. She specifically called out people who identify as “thin-presenting” who body shame others.
“As someone who really cares about people and the way this world is going, I have to say something,” she said in the video. “If you are in a thin-presenting body or in a body that people would consider small, it is not your place to criticize or shame people in bigger bodies.”

She continued: “It’s not your place to criticize how they choose to live in that body, how they choose to change that body, and it’s not your place to criticize how they share that experience on the Internet or with anyone. Especially if you were in a bigger body and you are now in a smaller-presenting body, it really feels inappropriate for you to speak on somebody whose body is changing.”

The 37-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer recently revealed the secrets of her dramatic weight loss journey in a cover story for Women’s Health magazine.
“It’s okay to release weight… and it’s okay to gain it back,” she told Women’s Health.

In her video, Lizzo lashed out at people who were once obese and are now thin-presenting.
“Because you of all people should understand that bodies change,” she explained. Lizzo said her video has nothing to do with what anyone said about her weight loss journey.
“At this point in my life I’m pretty impervious to what anyone can say about me on the Internet, especially the people who don’t know me.”

Lizzo’s fans say they didn’t appreciate her targeting thin people or coining the term “thin-presenting” people.
One fan wrote: “The issue with Lizzo is that she made her body her personality. Then, people nowadays are too soft. I’m not saying that you should dry talk about someone’s body and shame them. But this forever victimhood is annoying. If you’re fat you’re fat. If you’re skinny you’re skinny.”
Another person wrote: “I see nothing wrong with calling people out for living unhealthy lifestyles.”
A third person commented: “WTF is a “thin-presenting body”?
