Steve Harvey offered some sound advice to rappers Tip “T.I.” Harris, Snoop Dogg and his former protégé Bow Wow, who seem to forget they are black men living in Amerikkka.
The 60-year-old comedian and TV mogul spoke out after Snoop Dogg filmed a video for BadBadNotGood’s “Lavender,” in which he protests police brutality by mock shooting a President Trump look-a-like in the head.
Harvey warned the outspoken rappers that their actions carry consequences that may affect their cash flow. In a recent radio interview, Harvey advised Snoop in particular that his video may create a copy cat atmosphere.
“There’s some idiot sitting at the house who’s willing to carry this out… What we have to be smart about is the way they will bend it and twist it,” said Harvey, referring to Snoop’s mentally unstable fans.
Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, was body slammed on Fox News after he rushed to his “Uncle” Snoop’s defense by threatening to pimp out Melania Trump in a now-deleted tweet.
“Just be smart. Leave the first lady out of this,” said Harvey.
Harvey, who counts the president among his close friends, seemed to have inside information when he said, “You start messing around with this man’s wife — who ain’t in this at all. The hell that comes down with messing with this man’s family, is great. Y’all got to be smart, man.”
“I love Snoop. Bow Wow, always respectful and cordial with one another. Me and T.I., I don’t have no problem with T.I., I love the dude. I’m just saying brothers, be smart. You gotta be smart, man. All y’all talking got money. You got money, man. You got money and they know how to go after that money. Just be smart. Leave the first lady out of this. Y’all going down another path with these cats now. You start messing with they wives… I’ll tell y’all you going down another path.”
As an example of emotions running high, one Fox News host called for Trump supporters to kill Snoop and Bow Wow on sight. It isn’t clear if the Fox News host was joking.
