New details have been released in the scandal involving Fox News Channel anchorman Charles Payne, who is accused of sexually harassing former CNN journalist Scottie Nel Hughes.
The National enquirer broke the story that Hughes was suing Payne for sexual harassment.
Payne, the well-respected host of Fox’s Making Money, was placed on suspension while the allegations are being investigated.
The 56-year-old married anchorman admitted to having a 3-year affair with 37-year-old Hughes, who is also married.

Hughes may have jeopardized her case by claiming she slept with Payne because she believed he could help her land a coveted job at Fox News.
Many observers criticized Hughes for attempting to sleep her way to the top, and then accusing Payne of harassment.
But newly discovered emails may swing the momentum in her direction.
One email, which Payne sent to Hughes in 2015, shows images of a blond woman who resembles Hughes, wearing a string bikini with confederate flag print.
The subject line reads: “admittedly I have no problem with this.”
Hughes, who is Caucasian, replied back: “That’s funny because I do… For numerous reasons.”
The confederate flag is considered racist and a symbol of oppression to black people.
A source close to the situation told Radar Online that the email is “just the tip of the iceberg.”
“It’s racist and disgusting,” another source told Radar.
Payne is the latest Fox News anchor to be hit with sexual harassment charges.
Fox News founder Roger Ailes retired in disgrace after a lawsuit was filed against him by former Fox anchorwoman Gretchen Carlson. The network later agreed to a multimillion dollar settlement.
Ailes died at age 77 on May 18.
Then, popular news anchor Bill O’Reilly was accused of sexual harassment by a plethora of past and present Fox News employees.
He resigned without putting up much of a fight.
Vice President Mike Pence and Steve Harvey have taken steps to prevent similar harassment allegations.
Pence was raked over the coals by feminists when a reporter dug up an old comment he made that he doesn’t eat or drink alone with any woman other than his wife.
Harvey was also strongly criticized after someone leaked an internal email he sent to staffers instructing them to stay out of his dressing room unless they are invited.
