Love addict Khloe Kardashian shares tips on how to keep the chemistry alive in long distance relationships. The 33-year-old reality TV star, who has a history of failed relationships with men, is currently involved with NBA star Tristan Thompson, the 26-year-old father of her unborn baby.
Khoe and Tristan spent the entire summer in L.A. together — far away from his rumored favorite dancer at a Cleveland area strip club.
But now Tristan must return to work for the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Khloe, who is about 4 or 5 months pregnant, will stay home in Los Angeles.
“Nobody says dating long distance is easy — I am so happy Tristan and I live together now! The extra miles can sometimes make many aspects frustrating,” she wrote on her paywall blog, Khloe with a K.
The socialite and entrepreneur says distance makes the heart grow fonder.
“[B]eing long distance also means you get to appreciate one another on a deeper level without the distractions of physical getting in the way. And it makes the simplest things — like holding hands, eating at the same table, feeling each other’s touch, taking a walk together, smelling their hair — the sweetest when you’re in the same city again.”
In addition to staying in touch via phone calls, texts, Skype and Snapchat, Khloe suggests teasing your man to keep his senses sharp while you’re out of sight, out of mind.
“Teasing is good and healthy when you’re long distance! Drop little hints about something you want to try in the bedroom next time you see them. It will give you both something to look forward to until you’re together again!”
She also says to treat your man like your best girlfriend and do girly things with him, like “organize your closets together.”
“Do you both share the same dreams and ideals? Do you both want the same things out of life — and, more importantly, the relationship? If the answer is yes, then the sacrifices you’re making now will pay off big time in the long run.”
The irony is none of these tips worked for Khloe in her past relationships. The professional athletes she prefers to date dumped her quickly the moment they realized how clingy and needy she was.
It looks like she’s on a roll. Tristan famously left his previous girlfriend while she was pregnant. History has a way of repeating itself.
