Young Dolph

Two Duke University coffee shop baristas who were terminated for playing rapper Young Dolph’s music are $20,000 richer after the rapper heard about their predicament.

Baristas Britni Brown and Kevin Simmons were fired from their jobs at a Duke University Joe Van Gogh coffee shop for playing Dolph’s rap song “Get Paid,” which contained the N-word and the line “I f—-d her so good”.

Duke University VP of Student Affairs Larry Moneta complained to the higher ups after he entered the coffee shop and overheard obscene rap lyrics playing on Spotify in the store.

Spotify apologized to Moneta for the incident and terminated the baristas’ contracts.

On Friday, Dolph tweeted: “Whoever that VP is, he don’t give a dam about nobody but his self… I guess he was trying to teach the students how to be selfish I guess……… smh.”

The rapper offered to give Brown and Simmons $20,000 each and fly them to the Rolling Loud Music festival in Miami, where he is performing this weekend.

On Wednesday, Spotify announced it was removing multiple artists — included R. Kelly, Young Dolph, and rapper XXXTentacion — from its playlists.

A total of 175 musicians were removed from Spotify’s playlists for hateful and misogynistic content.
