Terrence J is a suspect in a hit and run after he allegedly fled the scene after wrecking his expensive Mclaren sports car early Tuesday in the San Fernando Valley.
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning when the sports car crashed into a tree on Ventura Boulevard and damaged a water line near a business. A city crew was called out to turn off the water.
Witnesses who called 911 reported seeing a Black male and a female running from the scene after the accident. The witnesses said the female was driving the vehicle when it crashed.
A tow truck operator who towed the car to the police impound lot tells The Blast the car was registered to one Thomas Jenkins.
It should be noted that Terrence J’s real name is Terrence Jenkins, not Thomas Jenkins.
But police at the scene told the tow truck driver the car owner was a celebrity.
Jenkins is a longtime BET television personality who also starred in movies such as Think Like a Man (2012).
According to The Blast, cops are looking for the two suspects, a Black male wearing a red sweater and a female wearing a blue jumpsuit. Terrence’s girlfriend is model Jasmine Sanders.
It’s unclear whether the suspects were injured, but police are monitoring local hospital emergency rooms for the pair.
Back in March, Jenkins, 36, posted a video of himself driving a black Mclaren that looked identical to the wrecked car. Mclaren’s retail for $200,000 to over $800,000.
