Icebox filed a $350,000 lawsuit against the rapper who is demanding the lawsuit be thrown out. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Thug claims Icebox is trying to screw him out of hundreds of thousands after initially trying to be his friend.
The rapper, who was born Jeffery Lamar Williams, denies the allegations in the lawsuit over an unpaid jewelry bill for $115,000 bill. He says Icebox took advantage of him.
The rapper claims that “over the course of several months, and on multiple occasions, Plaintiff solicited Williams and urged him to accept expensive jewelry without requiring any payment up-front.”

Thug claims Icebox uses a “predatory business practice involving assurances of a friendly and accommodating transaction with flexible terms to be worked out at a later date, followed by unilaterally set payment terms and deadlines.”
Icebox claimed to have loaned Thugger $200,000 in jewelry with the promise he would pay later. According to The Blast, the rapper visited the store four times and was given a $30,000 Rolex watch, $20,000 Cartier bracelet, $30,000 diamond wallet chain and a $6,5000 rose gold clasp.
Icebox said Thug made payments of $95,000 over time but he stopped making the layaway payments and left an unpaid balance of $115,090.
Some jewelry stores enter into the profitable hip-hop market by offering to loan jewels to celebrity clientele on a layaway plan. The terms of the layaway plan include marketing the store by wearing the pieces on social media.
Icebox was recently in the news after 2 armed robbers tied up the store owner, Jeff Dimunzio, during a home invasion earlier this month. The suspects then broke into Icebox and cleaned out 2 of the seven safes in the back of the store over a period of 2 hours.
According to CBS46, Icebox still has not provided surveillance footage or an itemized list of the stolen items to Cobb County police. The investigation into the jewelry theft and home invasion are ongoing.
