Dwyane Wade rushed to comfort Lil Nas X who is under siege on social media after he came out of the closet on the final day of Pride Month 2019.

The 20-year-old country music/trap rapper came out to his millions of social media followers following the viral success of his hit “Old Town Road”.

“some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone [gonna] fwm [f–k with me] no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure,” he tweeted on Sunday.

But the hostile reactions were not what he expected. Thousands of country music purists attacked him for revealing his homosexual proclivities.

At first, Nas, who is in Paris, France, responded to the insults with humor.

On Monday night, as the anti-homosexual backlash continued, Nas appeared to retreat back into the closet by tweeting, “just cuz i’m gay don’t mean i’m not straight”.

On Tuesday, Nas posted an emoji of a sad cowboy holding a gun.

“say one more home of phobic [homophobic] thing to me,” he captioned the image.

Also on Tuesday he wrote a cryptic tweet, “just got news that i’m gay and i will no longer be streaming my music. i’m sorry that shit is just not ok.”

Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade was among the celebrities who rushed to his defense. Wade’s son Zion, 12, came out as LGBT+ during Miami Gay Pride.

“Focus on all the good in your life. Don’t allow these fools get to you,” the NBA star wrote. “It’s a lot of us out here proud of who and what you represent.”

The Heat player recently opened up about his son’s sexuality after the whole family supported him during Miami Beach’s gay pride parade.

“I don’t really talk about it much because it’s Zion’s story to tell,” Wade told Variety. “I think as a family, we should support each other. That’s our job.”

He added, “My job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do.”
