The judge in the George Zimmerman murder trial has revoked his bond, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Zimmerman has 48 hours to report to the same jail he was released from in April.
In a shocking and unexpected turn, Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester has revoked George Zimmerman’s bond in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
The decision came after revelations that Zimmerman and his wife may have conspired to lie about thousands of dollars in donations they’d collected before his bond hearing.

Prosecutors in Florida have asked a judge to revoke George Zimmerman’s bond. Prosecutors say Zimmerman and his wife “misled and deceived the court” during an April bond hearing.
The motion alleges that Zimmerman and his wife spoke in code to hide his financial resources.
Zimmerman was charged with 2nd degree murder in the February shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. His trial is expected to begin early next year.

In the motion, prosecutors allege Zimmerman’s wife knew about the donations her husband had collected through a PayPal account, but didn’t mention the money at his bond hearing.
Zimmerman’s PayPal account collected more than $200,000, his attorney later revealed.
“Defendant has intentionally deceived the court with the assistance of his wife, Shelley Zimmerman. During the jail phone calls both of them spoke in code to hide what they were doing,” the motion says.
The state also argues that Zimmerman has a second passport in addition to the one he surrendered.
The new motion comes as Lester may decide today whether the special prosecutor in the George Zimmerman murder case is improperly withholding evidence from the public.
