NeNe Leakes remembered her late husband Gregg Leakes at a memorial service on Monday, Sept. 6, days after he lost his battle with colon cancer at age 66.
Leakes, who appeared alongside NeNe and her sons in Real Housewives of Atlanta, died on Wednesday, Sept. 1, surrounded by his family at home.
NeNe held a celebration of life service at her Linnethia Lounge in Duluth, Georgia. She was joined by some of her former Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars past and present, including Lisa Wu, Phaedra Parks, Marlo Hampton, Porsha Williams and Eva Marcille.
The memorial also included several music performances from Keke Wyatt and gospel stars Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell and Le’Andria Johnson.
NeNe, 53, took to Instagram to share an intimate photo of herself and Gregg sharing a kiss. She captioned the photo: “Today we celebrate you Gregg with love, just the way you wanted it.”
Meanwhile, NeNe and Gregg’s son Brentt shared an image from the memorial to his Instagram Story. In the image, a large portrait of a smiling Gregg could be seen on one of the walls of the venue. Brentt captioned his post: “Love ya pops.”
NeNe wed Gregg in 1997 but they divorced in 2011, only to get back together and remarry in 2013.
The single mom worked as a stripper to support her son, Bryson, when they met in a strip club.
