L.A. Lakers rookie sensation Quincy Olivari was benched by coach JJ Reddick on Tuesday after he apparently dissed LeBron James’ son, Bronny James.

Quincy scored 11 points to lead the Lakers in a come-from-behind win over the Milwaukee Bucks on October 10.

Quincy trended on X after the game, as fans finally put a face to the “WHO’S #41?” memes that trended after LeBron took a selfie with the then-unknown player.

Lakers fans finally had something to cheer about. The Lakers are 1-3 in the pre-season. But fans see a future star in Quincy after he led the Lakers to their only win in the preseason.

But Quincy did not play in Tuesday’s loss against the Golden State Warriors.

Fans believe Quincy was benched for saying his success in last Thursday’s game was “Earned, not given.”

His comment may be in reference to the nepotism allegations when Bronny was given a guaranteed 4-year, $8 million contract.

Quincy is signed to a 10-day contract with the Lakers. The Lakers probably won’t re-sign Quincy because he made Bronny look bad.

Lakers fans were furious when the Lakers benched him on Tuesday.

Bronny James scored 2 points and 1 block in 9 minutes in the game while Quincy was on the bench.
