Chrystale Wilson wants your mom and your aunties to join her at Rasheeda Frost’s upcoming set during the ONE Music Fest in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park on Saturday, October 25.

Chrystale, best known for her role as “Ronnie” in the 1998 comedy “The Player’s Club,” danced to one of Rasheeda’s hit songs after Gen-Zers mocked the reality TV star online.

Wearing a leopard print romper, a blonde wig, and knee-high boots in an IG video, Chrystale asked Alexa to play one of Rasheeda’s hit songs.

Directing her comment to a friend, Chrystale said, “I saw your post. You’re right, they got our girl Rasheeda f***ed up! Ok? And I’m wit’ you. I got the memo, dress code and everything.”

Then Chrystale proceeded to drop it low and twerk for her 223,000 Instagram followers.

Chrystale went viral recently after her new man took her off the market.

Chrystale celebrated her boyfriend, who she described as having great hygiene. “That’s so important to me. I want a man who wears his pants pulled up on him. Not all the way up – that’s too much.”

“I’m so thankful for him,” she added. “He’s a secure person and he lets me be myself and that is very important. Because when I have to try and overthink who I am … for somebody to be happy with me, I’m gonna be unhappy and that’s not gonna work for me.”

The comedic actress has a large following on YouTube. She’s also cast in the drama series “All The Queen’s Men” on BET+.

Conservative journalist Megyn Kelly is being criticized by Beyoncé’s loyal fans for dragging their idol into Sydney Sweeney‘s jeans controversy.

Megyn dissed Beyoncé’s ad campaign for Levi’s as “artificial,” and claimed Beyoncé is “doing too much.”

“There is nothing natural about Beyonce,” Megyn wrote on X (Twitter) on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

She praised Sydney’s American Eagle jeans ad as more “natural” than Beyoncé’s Levi’s ad.

Megyn re-posted a tweet about Beyoncé’s Levi’s campaign and wrote: “This [Levi’s ad] is the opposite of the Sydney Sweeney ad. Quite clearly there is nothing natural about Beyonce. Everything – from her image to her fame to her success to her look below – is bought and paid for. Screams artificial, fake, enhanced, trying too hard.”

In response to one X user labeling her a “bully,” Megyn tweeted: “It is not possible for me to ‘bully’ BEYONCÉ, literally one of the richest, most privileged/connected/famous ppl in the world. Now you? You I could bully but your TDS is already torturing you so we’re good.”

Beyonce’s Levi’s campaign launched in late 2024. She flaunted her Levi’s jeans on a digital billboard above the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.

The criticism of Sydney’s American Eagle ad involves wordplay that some find offensive. Sydney says, “Genes are passed down from parents… My jeans are blue.”

The commercial was meant to be humorous, but some people took it the wrong way.

Sydney’s eyes are blue and her hair is blonde. But her wordplay on “genes” sparked controversy about white privilege and racism.

One user on X wrote, “The ad infers that blue eyes and blonde hair are superior. It’s not about denim, it’s about what that phrase echoes historically.”

The Soul Train Awards and BET Hip-Hop Awards have been suspended indefinitely due to poor ratings. The Soul Train Awards launched on Black Entertainment Television (BET) in 2009. The BET Awards launched in 2001 on BET.

Both programs suffered poor ratings in recent years due to the public’s lack of interest in mumble rap and drill music.

The BET Awards have not been suspended.

BET CEO Scott Mills confirmed the suspensions in a discussion with Billboard. He explained that the shows are not canceled, they are “suspended indefinitely”. He didn’t provide a timetable for when they are expected to return.

“It’s less about them being no longer and more about our team having to reimagine them for this changing media landscape that we find ourselves in,” Mills told Billboard.

Mills said his team is working on moving the awards shows to a different platform.

“So for BET linear, we have suspended the Soul Train and Hip-Hop award shows. But we have a team that’s actively thinking about where those award shows might best live as the media climate continues to evolve,” he said.

Bots and fake listeners on Spotify

Some Hip-Hop journalists blame “bots” on music-streaming platforms such as Spotify that artificially boost songs and fake listeners.

Others blame record labels for paying influencers and podcasters to promote songs and albums that otherwise would not get airplay on the radio.

One manosphere message board member wrote: “They’re not standing behind the music because there are no more standout records charting like there were once 7 yrs ago.”

Just recently, Hip-Hop podcaster Akademiks exposed hip-hop journalists who were paid by a record label to promote the Clipse album.

Keshia, 46, played Malcolm’s younger sister, Rudy Huxtable, on The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992. She later reprised her Rudy character on the spin-off series A Different World.

Monday, August 4, was the first day of school for high school students in Memphis, Tennessee. A group of students posed for their first day of school photo outside their high school.

The photo went viral on social media. Can you guess why?

Usually, students wear their best outfits to school on the first day because they want to make a good impression with other students. But Memphis students are different.

The photo went viral because the students are holding stacks of $100 bills and they’re dressed like they’re going to a rap concert.

Children are off limits on Sandrarose.com. The parents of these students should be blamed for sending them to school wearing blonde wigs, cutoff shorts, daisy dukes, mini skirts, and tattoos.

The photo generated a plethora of comments on social media. One person wrote: “Not one book bag in sight.”

Another person wrote: “Black girls start disliking their hair at a very young age.”

A third person wrote: “Is anyone surprised? Let’s hear the “not all” crowd come out of the wood work.”

But some commenters were positive. One X user congratulated the kids and wished them “a safe and blessed school year.”

Another X user called the photo “beautiful”. They added, “Just money & good vibes proud of my youth in Memphis.”

Meagan Good’s ex-husband, Pastor DeVon Franklin has found happiness again. DeVon filed for divorce from Meagan in 2021 after nine years of marriage.

Their divorce was finalized in June 2022.

In February, the 47-year-old preacher, producer, author, and motivational speaker proposed to fitness trainer Maria Castillo.

On August 2, they tied the knot during a lakeside ceremony at Casa Lago in Beverly Hills, CA.

The couple met on Easter 2024 through a mutual friend. They made a love connection over Easter brunch, and realized they were meant to be together as man and wife.

“We truly believe God brought us together. When we reflect on all that we each went through, individually, and the timing of our meeting, it feels like divine timing,” Devon tells Essence.

“There was no striving, no pretending, just a sense of safety and being fully seen,” Maria added.

“She is love,” DeVon said. “She is, to me, the personification of love.”

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, but it was not a happy occasion. According to a report, Alicia is planning to file for divorce amid allegations that Swizz fathered an outside child with his longtime side piece.

We’ve heard rumors for years about the music producer cheating on Alicia with side pieces. But he allegedly got sloppy and fathered a child with one woman.

Alicia, 44, and Swizz were married in 2010 and share two children. He also has three children from previous relationships.

According to Instagram blogger @nosleep_411, Swizz, 46, got his longtime side piece pregnant.

Alicia reportedly found out after Swizz provided a sample for a court-ordered paternity test. The test allegedly confirmed he is the daddy, and now Alicia wants out of their marriage.

They kept up outside appearances by celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary recently. Alicia posted photos on Instagram on July 31.

Lesbian Couple, Chased by Racists, Suffer Injuries in Car Crash: ‘Beyond Grateful to be Alive’

A lesbian couple suffered injuries in a serious car crash after being chased by racists in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

The couple’s supporters are demanding justice after the people who chased them were released with minor charges.

The incident unfolded on July 20 when Amylah Majors and Jamaria Gaskins were driving on Partlow Road in Spotsylvania County around 6:30 p.m. Their car hit debris in the road and they pulled over to check for damage.

Majors said before they could get out of the car, a man exited a nearby home and gave them the thumbs up sign, which they believed meant he was going to help them.

Instead, he called them the n-word and shouted at them to leave the area. He told them they didn’t belong there.

Two other people – a man and a woman – began shouting racial slurs at them.

“They called us [N-words], told us we didn’t belong there, and one of them even exposed himself while screaming hate and slurs at us,” Majors stated on a GoFundMe page.

Majors and Gaskins, from Richmond, were in the area visiting Gaskins’ mother, a resident of Caroline County.

“As we tried to leave, all three of them jumped into vehicles and chased us down the road,” Majors said. “One of them rode up beside us on a 4-wheeler and aimed a gun directly at my head through the driver’s window.”

The chase ended when the women’s car crashed. Majors, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.

She suffered head and neck injuries and serious internal injuries, including a fractured spine and a broken clavicle and rib. Gaskins walked away with minor injuries.

Police arrested 2 people, later identified as Mark Goodman and Elizabeth Wolfrey, and charged them with misdemeanors, including possession of a firearm and incident exposure. More charges are expected to be added.

“I am beyond grateful to be alive,” Majors stated.

Tiffany Haddish and Jason Lee trolled fans with photos showing them with an infant on Instagram.

On Sunday, August 3, Tiffany and Jason shared Instagram photos that show her holding a baby while Jason pushes a baby stroller.

He captioned the photos: “Cats out the bag [sic].”

The photos sparked rumors that they adopted a child together or they had a surrogate baby via IVF using his sperm and her egg.

Someone wrote on Instagram: “Does this mean that you both had a baby together via surrogate?”

According to USA Today, the baby is Major, the 6-month-old grandson of Lee’s cousin, Natasha “Tasha” Brown.

Tiffany and Jason have discussed sharing an IVF baby in the past. The comedic actress previously said she wanted to adopt a child between 5 and 7 years old.

“I’m taking parenting classes now to adopt,” she said in 2024. “I’m looking at, you know, 5 and up — really, like, 7.

However, Tiffany has a criminal background and documented mental illness.

During an episode of Jason’s podcast “Hollywood Unlocked” in November 2024, the 2 friends talked about having a baby together.

“You did promise me you would give me a kid,” Jason, who is openly gay, said at the time. “So let me ask you a question. So I had Cardi B here, she’s already said she’ll be my kid’s godmother. You said you would give me a kid. Are you serious about that?”

Haddish replied, “Yeah. I wanted to talk to you about the cost… because I said I wanted to do it the old-fashioned way. You said no. So I want to talk to you about the cost of [having a baby].”
