Queen Latifah’s “The Equalizer” was canceled after 5 seasons on CBS. The network decided not to renew the series for a 6th season. Also canceled was a planned “Equalizer” spin-off.

Latifah, 55, played Robyn McCall, an ex-CIA operative who used her hand-to-hand combat skills to help the downtrodden. The show was filmed in New Jersey and produced by Queen Latifah and her business partner Shakim Compere for Flavor Unit Productions.

Latifah responded to the show’s cancellation in an Instagram post on Friday.

“Stepping into a kick-ass role like Robyn was everything I hoped it would be. Shakim and I at Flavor Unit are always excited to bring these kinds of roles and projects to life—and then we just hope you love them as much as we do. The Equalizer blew past every dream we had for it, and having the opportunity to do this for five seasons honestly feels surreal.”

She continued: “Thank you to our amazing cast, crew, and producers and writers! And I can’t say enough about the FANS! Y’all have been so loyal, so loud, and so ride-or-die—and that’s exactly why we keep doing this. We can’t thank you enough. It means the world to us.

“And don’t worry — I’ll be back kicking ass in something new real soon. Can’t wait to share it with you.”

The series drew 6 million viewers total in its final season – a 25% drop in viewership from season 4.

“The Equalizer” premiered on February 7, 2021. The show lost viewers early on (including me) due to its “woke” content that bogged down the series. The show was ranked last in CBS’ program lineup.

In her sit down chat with Shan, Cree shares how her sex drive improved post-menopause and what she’s looking forward to as she explores love again in her senior years.

Cree told Shan that she’s never approached a man – men always approached her. She was excited about approaching a man in the second half of her life.

“I don’t think I’ve ever approached a man. I’ve never asked a man out,” she said.

“I would love to have a husband and a real partner. Someone that we could get excited about the trials and the tribulations in life together,” said Cree. “That would be great.”

Cree compared the end of a marriage to the engine dying in an old car.

“Who the f— wants to separate and divorce? But sometimes that old car ain’t gon’ run anymore. And you can polish it. You can put a new f—— motor in it, but it just don’t run… it’s run its f—— course literally.”

Cree added: “With all I know, I’m too smart to have chosen what I’ve chosen. I think I could’ve given myself the credit for how intelligent I really am. I think sometimes I found myself in situations past the expiration date purely out of loneliness.

“I think loneliness is probably the greatest culprit to get me into things where I could’ve probably looked at it and go ‘I know that ain’t gon’ work.’ But he drives a really nice car…”

Family members of twin brothers Qaadir and Naazir Lewis say a new video left them with more questions than answers 2 months after they died.

The 19-year-old twins were found shot to death on March 8 in rural Towns County, Georgia, nearly 90 miles from their home.

A hiker found the bodies near the top of Bell Mountain on the morning of March 8. An autopsy determined they were shot to death. Authorities ruled the deaths a murder-suicide. A gun was found near the bodies.

But their loved ones suspect foul play.

New surveillance video from a gas station convenience store shows Qaadir and Naazir entering and exiting the store the night before their bodies were found 90 miles away.

According to Fox5 News, the GBI showed the twins’ mother the surveillance video.

The brothers are seen eating snacks and drinking water around 10 p.m. on March 7. The gas station is about 9 minutes from their home in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Family members say they seemed normal in the video on March 7. Earlier that day they were scheduled to fly to Boston. But their Uber was late dropping them off at Hartsfield Airport, and they missed their flight.

They returned home after missing their flight. Later that night they were seen on surveillance video at a Food Mart on Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville.

The next morning, around 11 a.m., a hiker found their bodies on the mountain in Hiawassee, which is one of 9 “Sundown towns” in Georgia where Black people were hanged in the 1800s.

The teenagers’ aunts, Samira and Sabria Brawner, also twins, are desperate for answers.

“I know that something happened to them. I know that they were murdered,” said Samira Brawner. “They didn’t just walk up that mountain and die. Something happened to them.”

Health professionals can easily kill a patient with one drug that isn’t detected on toxicology tests. The drug is injected into the patient’s IV – and within minutes, the patient dies from a cardiac arrest that is ruled “natural”.

In a recent episode of ABC’s General Hospital, ESPN host Stephen A. Smith interrupted a nurse trying to kill a patient with an injectable drug.

“Sorry to interrupt, but I’m gonna need to see some ID,” he said as he walked into a hospital room just as the nurse was about to commit murder.

This isn’t Smith’s first appearance on General Hospital. He previously appeared in a cameo on his favorite soap opera back in 2007. Since then he’s made over 40 appearances as a recurring character named “Brick”.

His most recent appearance as Brick went viral online.

Smith previously said he is a longtime fan of “General Hospital.” His sisters turned him on to the show growing up.

“I have four older sisters and when we came home from school, all the TVs in the house were on ‘General Hospital,'” Smith told ESPN Front Row in 2016. “Since I wasn’t allowed outside until I finished my homework, I watched the soap every day.”

In 2023, Turkey Leg Hut founder Nakia Price shocked fans by filing for divorce from Lyndell “Lynn” Price.

In an Instagram post, Nakia wrote “I’ve been quiet for sooo long and I can no longer hold my silence.” Nakia went on to accuse Lynn of being a cruel, deceitful, gaslighting narcissist.

The popular Turkey Leg Hut restaurant in Houston, Texas was known for its oversized and flavorful turkey drumsticks. It was a favorite destination spot for rappers and NBA superstars.

The Turkey Leg Hut location at Almeda Road was closed for 34 health violations in 2024. The restaurant was shuttered for good in November after its lease was terminated, according to bankruptcy court records.

Lynn Price was arrested and charged with conspiring with others to burn down a bar in 2020.

Earlier this year, the FBI filed new criminal charges against Lynn Price that alleged The Turkey Leg Hut sold more marijuana than turkey drumsticks out of the Almeda Road location.

On Thursday, lawyers representing Lynn Price asked a judge to release him on bond until his criminal trial.

But the bond hearing revealed new details about the alleged arson. Federal prosecutors also produced other allegations while asking a magistrate judge to keep Lynn Price behind bars.

An FBI agent testified in court Thursday that the Turkey Leg Hut restaurant was also a trap house that sold large amounts of marijuana. The marijuana was packaged in baggies stamped with the restaurant logo.

John Lee Price, an associate of Lynn Price, admitted to transporting hydroponic marijuana to the Turkey Leg Hut, FBI special Agent Deborah Cline said. As much as 1,000 pounds of marijuana was stored at the restaurant.

Cline testified that Lynn had California-grown marijuana brought to Houston and then sold it out of Turkey Leg Hut and the Daiquiri Hutt, another now-closed establishment at the same address.

The restaurant was patrolled by armed security guards 24/7, to protect the drugs that were kept there, Cline said.

During cross-examination, Cline said there was no evidence that Lynn Price was directly involved in hand-to-hand drug sales at the restaurants.

But she said Lynn was the “orchestrator” and the drug kingpin who kept his hands clean.

Football fans are calling for the University of North Carolina to fire Tar Heels football head coach Bill Belichick after a recent incident involving his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson.

Beichick, 73, is considered one of the greatest NFL coaches of all time. He coached the New England Patriots to 6 Super Bowl wins, and he won 2 Super Bowl rings as the defensive coordinator of the New York Giants.

But Belichick was fired last year by Patriots owner Robert Kraft after 24 seasons. Sources cited his unusual relationship with Hudson as the reason for his termination.

In December, Belichick signed a 5-year contract worth $50 million to become the head coach of the Tar Heels football team. The deal includes a $10 million salary.

But UNC fans are concerned about his relationship with Hudson who does not hold a job at the university.

He reportedly asked UNC to CC Hudson on all of his emails, and she’s been seen on the sideline at UNC football practices.

The calls for Belichick’s termination reached a fever pitch when Hudson told Belichick not to answer a question about how they met during an interview on CBS’s “Sunday Morning.”

Belichick defended Hudson after the disastrous interview went viral. She recently leaked screenshots of an email written by Belichick showing his contempt for the mainstream media.

Former Patriots star linebacker Ted Johnson called for UNC to cut Belichick loose after the uncomfortable interview aired on CBS.

“I think the Carolina Tar Heels should consider firing Bill Belichick,” Johnson said on WEEI. “They should consider letting him go at this point.”

“I look at Bill Belichick and I wonder if he’s fit to coach an NFL team, let alone fit to coach a college team,” Johnson added.

“So, I’m worried that Bill Belichick just isn’t fit to coach college kids, and UNC should consider cutting ties with Bill Belichick.”

Some fans are worried that Belichick might be showing signs of dementia. They say he is not fit to coach the Tar Heels.

One fan wrote: “Will UNC cut bait and fire Belichick before the season even starts??? What a terrible hire.”

Another person wrote: “Fire Bill Belichick @UNCFootball Cut your losses.”

A third person commented: “This woman is controlling him and he doesn’t seem capable of coaching. It’s genuinely sad.”

Hudson, whose mom reportedly works at a sex shop, previously dated a 64-year-old man before she reportedly met Belichick on a plane.

CNN cuts to commercial during explosive argument between ‘The View’ host and Black conservative: ‘Last time I checked, I’m black. You’re not’

CNN was forced to cut away to a commercial when an explosive argument erupted between “The View” co-host Ana Navarro and a Black conservative.

Navarro got into a shouting match with Shermichael Singleton when she compared African slaves to immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported to El Salvador.

Abrego Garcia, 29, was deported by the Trump administration. Navarro is among those who believe Abrego Garcia was wrongfully deported.

“If you come in illegally, you have to leave. Americans are tired of that. We don’t have unlimited resources… We have to care for our own people,” Singleton said.

Navarro replied: “There’s a hell of a lot of Americans, other than black people who were brought here as slaves, who came to this country illegally.”

Singleton objected to Navarro going all the way back to slavery to make her point.

“They are not the same as Black people who were brought here against our will!” he shouted. “They decide to walk their way across the border, there is a big difference!”

CNN anchor Abby Phillip then interjected to inform Singleton that he misunderstood Navarro.

But the argument continued: “Great. Congratulations. Last time I checked, I’m black. You‘re not, okay,” Singleton told Navarro.

Navarro clapped back: “That’s right. I’m Latino and my people are being racially profiled.”

Singleton continued: “Do I have to remind you the history of my people? Do you really wanna go there?”

Phillip struggled to regain control of the discussion before giving up and going to a commercial break.
