Video: Yael Naim – New Soul (Macbook Air commerical song)

I love that jingle in the new Macbook Air commerial. So I did a quick Google search and I found out the catchy tune is called “New Soul” by Yael Naim. I’m posting her video if you’re into quirky music like me.

I know Yael is banking off of that Apple commercial. Good for her!

Rihanna needs to increase her security

This picture titled “Rihanna and her baby” is not funny to me. Why would anyone take the time to make something like this? Aren’t there enough volunteer opportunities out there for people with idle hands? Clearly, this is the work of a disturbed individual. Hopefully Rihanna’s handlers will beef up her security staff the next time she’s out in public.

Mariah Carey has a new CD cover and it stinks

24

Here’s Mariah Carey’s “official” official CD cover for her upcoming disc E=MC². I had to put ‘official’ twice because we were told the drunken stupor cover was the official cover. What is it with labels re releasing CD covers all over the place?

Can’t these records labels make up their minds? It never used to be this way until labels started recruiting their art department staffers from Cartoon Network rejects.

Anyway, I hated the original drunken stupor cover, but I absolutely abhor this here new cover. What I hate most about it is Mariah’s armpit is thrust in my face as I shop in Walmart for my guilty pleasure items.

Note to label execs: If I want to see Mariah’s armpit, I’ll ask her myself, thank you.

So I fixed the cover to suit my tastes. If you appreciate my efforts, please let the label know and maybe they will reissue an official, official, official CD cover next week.

Dick Morris: ‘Obama has already won the Democratic nomination. It’s over’

16

As I said yesterday, voters aren’t as stupid or gullible as the media would like to believe they are. Despite Obama’s historic speech on race relations yesterday, the media continues to focus its attention on his pastor’s controversial views.

But, according to columnist Dick Morris, this too shall pass.

Will the Gospel According to Jeremiah Wright sink the Obama candidacy? Not very likely.

Let’s start with two basic facts:

(a) Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) has already won the Democratic nomination. It’s over. Regardless of how the remaining primaries and caucuses go, including Michigan and even Florida, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) can never catch Obama in elected delegates. His current lead of 170 pledged delegates will not be overcome no matter what happens. Even if Clinton beats him by 10 points in each of these primaries, he will still lead among elected delegates by over 100. The superdelegates will not override the will of the voters unless Obama is in jail. They will not let themselves in for a civil war by overruling a black man who is beloved by the young by going over the heads of the electorate and naming the candidate that lost the primaries as the nominee. Regardless of how damaged Obama may be by the Wright tapes, it will not provide sufficient cover or cause for them to do so. (Source)

Complete speech by presidential candidate Barack Obama on the status of race in America and the hope for a better future. Obama spoke in Philadelphia, PA at Constitution Center on March 18, 2008. Many agree that this is Obama’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech.
