Suspects Arrested in T.I. Associate Murder Case

Ryan Cameron of the Ryan Cameron Show (V-103) broke the news today of arrests in the 2-year-old murder case involving an associate of rapper T.I.

Philant Johnson, T.I.’s best friend and personal assistant, was killed on May 2, 2006 during a rolling shootout on a Cincinnati highway following an altercation at a Cincinnati nightclub.

T.I., Philant and members of T.I.’s entourage were ambushed as they left the club where T.I. made an appearance at a concert afterparty.

According to Ryan, reliable sources close to the case speaking to the Ryan Report on condition of anonymity, said 2 suspects are in custody and a warrant will be served on the alleged triggerman sometime this week.

Sources told the Ryan Report that detectives made an arrest in an unrelated case and new information regarding the old murder case was obtained as a result of that arrest. The motive for the ambush may not have been over money thrown into the crowd during a performance by Yung Joc who was on tour with T.I. at the time.

Sources tell the Ryan Report that a promoter mistakenly believed he had booked T.I. for an afterparty at his club only to find out he had been duped by a person who said they could secure an appearance from T.I.

When the promoter learned that T.I. was at another party he went to the scene with other individuals and waited for T.I. to leave the club. After a brief war of words in the parking lot, the promoter and his crew allegedly followed T.I.’s caravan of vehicles onto the highway where the assailants opened fire on the vehicles carrying T.I. and members of his entourage. Police say T.I.’s security who were licensed to carry weapons, returned fire.

Philant was killed and three other members of T.I.’s entourage were wounded in the shootout. Police say a 25 caliber pistol and a 9mm handgun were used in the shootings. One of the assailants was apparently hit in the exchange of gunfire, but managed to escape detection by crossing state lines to be treated for his gunshot wound.

New Music: Rocko Da Don ft. Monica – Thugs Need Love Too

CORRECTION: Young Jeezy is not on this track. Also, Drumma Boy is the producer, not Jermaine Dupri. I regret the errors.

The new Bonnie & Clyde – Rocko Da Don & his beautiful fiancee Monica, have a track on his new album “Self Made” called “Thugs Need Love Too”.

Rocko’s Southern drawl on this track is reminiscent of LL Cool J‘s classic thug love hit “I Need Love”.

As you know, Rocko’s album drops next Tuesday (Mar. 18) so make sure you cop that! And be on the lookout for details on Rocko’s Atlanta Album Release party with guests including Monica, Jeezy, Jermaine Dupri and others.

The track is provided to us courtesy of The Music Man at www.themmo.com!

By the way, the comments are open at the request of Monica who asked me not to close the comments on any more of her posts.

Polow Da Don Wuz Robbed

60

Atlanta producer Polow Da Don was the victim of an attempted robbery last night. I wasn’t going to post this story because he wasn’t hurt and it was an attempted robbery. I love Polow, but I’m not going to post a story every time a rapper gets robbed of his fake jewelry…

Then I received the following press release from Polow’s camp.

Remember as you read it that this is an official statement in response to the incident from Polow himself:

Yall heard about the situation last night? “Haha” They thought they came to rob me, but I have heart and I have God shawty… Nah these crack head ass niggaz I guess called themselves robbing me, but we robbed them…… I wasn’t scared I was mad. I was likes “these dumb ass weak ass niggas”….. Niggas don’t get it…. you gone have to shoot me because until then, I dont belive you. I am a MAN…. and 9 times out of 10 a nigga calling himself a Robba, a Thug or a Gangsta is a cover up for being too weak(weather it be physically, spiritually or mentally) to be a man. It’s hard to learn how to be a MAN… Luckily my teacher stuck with me….Thanks Dad, I LOVE YOU!!!!!! Kids…”Do you know where your father is right now?”

Video: Shawty Putt – Dat Baby ft. Lil’ Jon

I was asked to put this video up by someone who is very influential in the music industry who supports Sandrarose.com. So don’t blame me for this. It’s the video for Shawty Putt‘s regional hit “Dat Baby” featuring Lil’ Jon.

Remember that male hooker video I posted?

49

Remember that male hooker video from Freddyo.com that I posted a while back? I told you that my photographer Freddyo traveled to the seedy side of Atlanta where men troll for sex with young thugs before going home to their families.

I promised you that Fred would post other videos from that night exposing the names of certain individuals from the upper echelons of Atlanta society who hit those corners on the regular. Pastor Ma$e is one name that you already know. But the other names may surprise you.

There’s the pastor of a megachurch who preaches anti-gay rhetoric in the pulpit while prowling the streets at night looking for a hard body to satisfy his carnal urges. Then there’s the Falcons football player who would die, just die, if his name got out.

Then there’s the thug rapper who officially arrived on the scene at the tender age of 17 in 1999 with a couple of big hits. His image was that of a hardened street thug. But behind closed doors, he toots his booty up faster than Karrine Steffans!

And lastly, there’s the R&B singer who’s been around for a minute – who is on a first name basis with all the Beyonce’s on the stroll – that’s right, he prefers the trannies.

Unfortunately, you will never get to see those videos. Within hours of me posting the above video, no less than 60 people called Fred urging him NOT to release the other videos. I tried my best to talk him into it but he wouldn’t budge. Even Jermaine Dupri tried to talk him into putting the videos up!

The problem is that Fred is the nicest guy in the entire industry. Whenever I try to put celebs on front street, Fred says, “Maybe we should give him another chance.” Or when I remind him that a certain artist has dissed me in the past, Fred says, “that’s when we show more love.”

I think Fred’s “show more love” attitude has rubbed off on me a little. For instance, yesterday, I killed a story I was writing called “The Adventures of L*******.” It involved the extracurricular activities of our favorite rapper and, shall we say, a model?

Next time I’m about to put a celeb on blast, I know not to run it by Pastor Fred. I’m going to show more love instead. After all, hits aren’t everything. 🙂

Star Jones finally comes to her senses

I know this is old news, but MSNBC is reporting it as new. Star Jones has been on her own for a minute now ever since she lost her TV gig. Her impending divorce from Al Reynolds isn’t about Star finding out that her man was creeping with other men – she already knew that.

You see, Star Jones is like those women who are insecure, who don’t feel complete unless they have a light skin boy with good hair on their arm to validate them.

Star Jones, like those other women, came to realize that she deserves so much more than just a piece of arm candy who is using her as a stepping stone to a better life. Now maybe she’ll find a real man who works hard and treats her like the queen that she is.

Update: The Game still in prison

UPDATE: Rapper The Game is still behind bars according to published reports. Apparently, The Game was transferred to another facility today due to personal safety and mental health concerns.

Earlier, TMZ.com reported the rapper was released from jail this morning. A California judge, citing “mental health concerns,” had ordered Jayceon Taylor released from jail after serving only 8 days of his 60-day bid.

The Game is serving out his 60 day sentence in an undisclosed California facility for assaulting a man and waving his iron in the air during a basketball game. His manager hopes the rapper will be released in time to record a new album to pay mounting bills. (Source)

LL Cool J offers us another clothing line that we don’t need

LL Cool J unveiled his new clothing line “Todd Smith” at Macy’s in Culver City, California on Saturday. You would assume that a man Todd’s age would include more sophisticated pieces like tailored shirts and dinner jackets in his collection. Instead we see the same ole same ole.

Do we really need a 40-year-old thug designing clothing for other 40-year-old thugs who refuse to grow up? (Source)
