Murder charges are expected to be filed against singer D4vd (born David Burke) in the 2025 death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The Los Angeles D.A. is expected to announce an indictment on Monday, April 20.

D4vd was arrested on Tuesday, April 14, at a $17,000-a-month rental house formerly owned by actress Sandra Bullock.

The 21-year-old “Romantic Homicide” singer is being held in the LA County Men’s Central jail without bond.

On September 8, 2025, Celeste’s badly decomposed remains were found in 2 trash bags in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd. The car was parked around the corner and down the street from D4vd’s rental house in the Hollywood Hills.

D4vd was on tour when Celeste’s body was found. He continued to tour until venues canceled his shows and offered ticket refunds.

Interscope Records scrubbed D4vd from the company’s website and returned his masters to him.

Sources told ABC News D4vd’s arrest is based on evidence and probable cause that was developed over 7 months.

That evidence might include proof that D4vd groomed Celeste after meeting the then-12-year-old girl on Roblox.

In a text message to a friend, Celeste allegedly revealed she “bled” after having intimate relations with D4vd.

The LAPD says their case against D4vd is “airtight.” However, celebrity attorney Mark Geragos claims the police “jumped the gun” and D4vd could walk free this week if no charges are filed.

D4vd was named as a suspect in the case in November 2025.

The singer’s high-powered attorney, Blair Berk, has represented Hollywood stars including Lindsey Lohan, Mel Gibson, Britney Spears, Harvey Weinstein and Kanye West.

According to sources, D4vd’s father, Dawud Burke, works for a Houston, Texas law firm that has links to Blair Berk.

Dawud Burke is not an attorney, but he has legal experience working for law firms.

His employer’s connection to D4vd’s defense attorney might be a conflict of interest.

Social media influencer and mommy vlogger, Kelly Hopton-Jones is facing backlash for making content about running over her toddler son with her car.

In an April 15 post on her @Hillside-Farmhouse Instagram page, Kelly said she accidentally ran over her 23-month-old son, Henry, in her driveway.

She made her post just hours after her son’s tragic accident.

Kelly said her husband helped their daughter into the car and was waving goodbye when Henry ran out of the garage.

“In a matter of seconds, our son was run over by our car. I was driving,” Kelly wrote on Instagram.

Henry was rushed to a hospital and treated for a fractured pelvis.

In her post, the pediatric nurse practitioner included photos of her son recovering in his hospital bed.

Social media users expressed concern that Kelly couldn’t wait to blog about her son’s injuries.

One person wrote on X.com: “How do you ACCIDENTALLY run your kid over?”

Another person wrote: “hopefully she wasn’t under the influence of recording an influencer video when she hit him.”

A third person wrote: “If it were my own kid and I ran over them? Oh my God I don’t even know how I’d live with myself let alone think about making CONTENT???.”

A fourth person commented, “I’m sorry this happened. Creating content from it, the same day it happened… is weird.”

Caitlyn Jenner asked President Trump for help reversing the ban on transgender passports and driver’s licenses.

Just hours after Trump took office in January 2025, he implemented a policy requiring U.S. passports to reflect a person’s biological sex.

Jenner came out as transgender in 2015 and presents as a female. Jenner changed the gender on all government documents to reflect their preferred gender identity.

Since January 2025, the federal government recognizes only two sexes, male and female, on federal documents.

Driver’s licenses held by transgender and nonbinary people were revoked by most U.S. states earlier this year.

Trump’s trans policy was upheld by the Supreme Court.

After Trump’s policy went into effect in January, Jenner, 76, was forced to change the gender markers on all documents to “male.”

Jenner reportedly pleaded with Trump to keep their female gender listed on all government documents.

“I can’t travel internationally anymore. I can’t use my passport,” Jenner said on an episode of “Tomi Lahren is Fearless” podcast.

Jenner wrote President Trump a letter “explaining all of this to him, how it’s affecting me and a lot of other people.” But Trump has not responded to Jenner’s letter.

The gold medalist believes transgender issues are not high on the president’s list of priorities.

Jenner, who is Republican, said the canceled documents can also prevent their ability to vote in 2028.

Jenner doesn’t believe the policy was well thought out.

The latest cosmetic surgery trend is taking the Internet by storm. Dimple surgery, also known as dimpleplasty, creates indentations in the cheeks or chin that appear when a person smiles.

Some people weren’t born with dimples, but dimples can be just an appointment away.

The procedure is permanent, requires no down time, and is minimally invasive. It is typically performed under local anesthesia. A dimpleplasty costs anywhere from $1,300 to $3,500.

The trend took off last year when women in Atlanta shared their dimpleplasty results on social media.

USA Today fired reporter Crissy Froyd after she celebrated Dianna Russini’s ouster from the Atlantic this week.

Russini reportedly resigned from the Atlantic on Tuesday, after a private investigator leaked photos that showed her hugging and holding hands with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel at an adults-only retreat in Arizona.

Froyd, who covered the NFL and college football for USA Today, celebrated Russini’s resignation in a tweet. She said Russini was told to submit her resignation or she would “get fired instead.”

“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. We know who you really are and what you’ve been up to for years,” Froyd wrote on X.com. “It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way.”

On Wednesday, Froyd tweeted that was let go by USA Today.

“I regret zero of what I said and stand beside it,” she wrote.

USA Today confirmed Froyd was dismissed, “effective immediately.”

“USA TODAY Sports has ended its contractor relationship with Crissy Froyd effective immediately,” Lark-Marie Antón, a USA Today spokesperson, said in a statement.

Photos of Vrabel and Russini, taken by a private investigator, were published by the New York Post’s Page Six on April 7.

Both Russini and Vrabel are married to other people. Russini’s husband, Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt allegedly hired the private investigator to trail his wife.

Anonymous sources say Vrabel, 50, and Russini, 43, have been hooking up for years.

Russini also faced allegations of a relationship with an unnamed NFL quarterback.

Trump says DoorDash delivery to the White House was “a little tacky”

President Donald Trump said his McDonald’s DoorDash delivery stunt was “a little tacky.”

Trump was criticized for partnering with DoorDash to promote his “No Tax On Tips” at the White House on Monday, April 13.

Internet sleuths quickly identified “DoorDash Grandma” as Sharon Simmons, of Arkansas. Simmons is a real DoorDash driver who testified during a GOP tax hearing in Nevada in 2025.

Earlier this week, DoorDash confirmed the company flew Simmons from Arkansas to Washington, D.C. to participate in the stunt.

Trump addressed the stunt during a roundtable in Las Vegas on Thursday.

“I mean, to be honest, it was a little tacky,” he said, as the audience laughed. Trump blamed his advisers who “come up with these crazy ideas like McDonald’s… and the garbage truck.”

He added, “I mean, we do these things in politics. They’re a little embarrassing. They’re a little tiny embarrassing, but we do ’em and you win by landslides.”

Trump bragged that the food delivery at the White House was “the first maybe in the history of the Oval Office.”

He said he heard a knock on the Oval Office door and “There was a very beautiful woman standing there with 2 bags of McDonald’s hamburgers…”

Trump said Simmons received an $11,000 tax refund thanks to the “No Tax On Tips” provision in his One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

However, Simmons later said she actually received a tax refund of $3,000-$4,000. She suggested that Trump may have exaggerated the amount of her refund.
