1. Prayer
2. Protecting your family (emergency escape routes, “what do if”, etc)
3. Packing your valuables within reach (wallet, birth certificates, etc)
If anyone has storm tips…they should post them.
Pack things that can’t be replaced! You can replace furniture, clothes, “stuff”… I learned the hard way after Hurricane Katrina how important keep-sakes are ESPECIALLY pictures. In pictures, my life didn’t begin until October 2005. The pictures from my son’s birth, my daughter’s first day of kindergarten, my own christening gown and so on are all gone. If you can’t take it, secure it in a water-proof container in a small closet.
As far as paperwork, ID, birth certificates, insurance policies, bank account information, deeds/bonds to property, college transcripts.

I don’t get the kissing on the first date thing.
