Beyonce Slapped With Another Lawsuit (she may get jail time)
The year is not even 6 weeks old and Beyonce has already been hit with two major lawsuits!
It seems that Beyonce and her mother Celestine Beyince are being accused of racketeering (a federal offense) and attempting to undercut a Hong Kong company on the price of House of Dereon goods.
Bey and Tina are accused of costing apparel maker Vier International $500,000 in shady deals with the Asian company. According to legal papers filed in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, New York on Monday (Feb. 1), Vier International owners claim executives at a NY based company (owned by Bey and Tina) and House of Dereon, conspired to order shipments of goods from Vier Int. at bargain basement prices. The goods were then “converted” to House of Dereon pieces and sold at higher prices.
According to fashion bible WWD, Bey and Tina purchased cheap garments from the Asian company but requested “manufacturer specifications” so that the garments would not need altering before going to market.
Vier International is seeking the $500,000 they lost in the shady deals with Beyonce and the two companies she has ties to or owns. Vier Int. also filed a claim under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), the same law used in most Mafia prosecutions.
A RICO conviction carries with it a stiff fine and possible prison time.

Stars Come Out for SOS Haiti Telethon/Concert
Monica, Akon, Keri Hilson, Queen Latifah, Mary J Blige, Ludacris, LL Cool J, Mike Tyson, Pharrell Williams, Pete Wentz, and others took the stage at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida to urge hip-hop and R&B fans watching live on BET to donate much-needed cash to Haiti tonight.
The people of Port au Prince, Haiti are still recovering from a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that rocked the tiny island nation Jan. 12.
Diddy told the audience and viewers across America he felt “extremely proud” to be part of the event.
Damian Marley, Justin Bieber, Nas, Mary J. Blige, former U.S. President Bill Clinton and rapper Lil Wayne – in what will be his last public appearance before starting a year-long jail sentence – were also billed to take part in the two-hour fundraiser, which aired live on many U.S. TV networks.The event was hastily organised to benefit charities including Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti foundation, as well as CARE, Project Medishare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.

SHOCKER: Rihanna in Drunken Stupor at Miami Nightclub
They say pop singer Rihanna was so drunk after a night of club hopping in Miami Beach that she had to be propped up and half carried to a waiting car after her last stop!
Witnesses say Rihanna was paid a substantial fee ($20,000) to make a 30-minute appearance at Mansion nightclub on S. Beach last night. “All she had to do was show her face for 30 minutes, but she couldn’t do that,” said a spy.
Rihanna showed up an hour late and was led into the club through a back alley. But once inside the club, she told friends she didn’t feel well and she was led right back out the same door. “She didn’t look so hawt,” said the spy who added that RiRi’s supposed boyfriend Matt Kemp was nowhere to be seen. “She could hardly keep her eyes open,” said the spy.
Poor baby.

Gold Digger Alert! Kwame’s Mistress Moving To Atlanta
Christine Beatty, mistress of ex-Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, is looking for a new start. So she’s reportedly moving to Atlanta, according to the AJC.
Beatty, 39, wants to put some distance between herself and her sordid past as the jump off to the married Kilpatrick. Both Beatty and Kilpatrick served time in prison for lying under oath about their affair. The scandalous affair came to light after a Detroit newspaper published some of the thousands of explicit text messages sent between the lovers.
Beatty has already landed a new consulting job in Atlanta, where she will live with her two daughters, according to Detroit newspapers. Beatty attended Howard University during the time Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed was a student there.
Interestingly enough, I saw Reed shopping at Lenox Square Mall last month, and he was with a woman who closely resembles Beatty.
Studies show that 60% of married men cheat on their wives with co-workers in the work place. Beatty served as Kilpatrick’s chief of staff from 2002 to 2008.
