It seems as though pop star Rihanna’s tour is not selling as well as she had hoped. Could it be because Rihanna is just not the flavor of the month any more? Or maybe it’s because of her lack of musical skills or her dumb choices in men. Who knows.

But judging from these hyper-sexualized pictures from RiRi’s tour stop in Germany, it could just be that concerned parents everywhere are banning their kids from attending Rihanna’s concerts.

Our society has enough problems with teen pregnancy rates and skyrocketing STDs among the teenage population. We don’t need celebrities encouraging promiscuous behavior.

Do better Rihanna!

  • missmiami

ha ha ha I would never pay to see her.

  • mirsmommy

Hmmm, I’ll go with the reasons being that she lacks musical talent, and her public mockery of masturbation.

  • whatdoesitmatter

    Well, that too bad.

  • whatdoesitmatter

    “that’s”

  • OutsidetheBox

I ordered tickets to her show here in July. I don’t know if I will take my teen yet. If her last report card is stellar, she will be there.

Parents need to train and teach their children in the way they want them to go and when they are faced with “choices”…most likely they will remember you.

  • http://snailmymail.com The Doll

Yes, Rihanna has lost her appeal to me too. I was just thinking about that the other day. She use to be so hot, but every since that whole CB thing and with her latest shenanigans with this other guy, she’s just blah. Could be she made herself too avaliable to the public. People lose their appeal when you see them TOO much.

  • chase

Poor thing bless her heart!!! You could not pay me to see her, but there is something about her I like. #don’tjudgeme

  • BeautifulBliss

    It doesn’t surprise me.
She has undergone a major change in her personality and performances since the CB incident.

  • jrainey

Ever since she received the smackdown from Chris Breezy and the naked pics circulated every home in America, she just hasn’t been the same. Poppin ur pootie tang everywhere doesn’t make u appealing….unless ur Beyonce! LOL

  • Val

I heard on the radio that Rih is coming to Oakland, CA in a few months- No one is checkin for ya boo- lol

now if she wants to taske me shopping… I’ll sit through her concert- lol
    just sayin……….

  • http://www.twitter.com/karazinatl KaraZ

Perez Hilton can’t be trusted, he’s a shakedown artist. If Rihanna’s folks paid him, he’d be singing a MUCH different tune.

And Sandra, please get on your hood crew about hypersexualization of women first… your beloved Diamond nem are just as bad.

    Thanks

  • http://totallytiny.com Janay

For some reason i DO NOT believe this!

  • Al-Ameera

I am hardly surprised. To be honest Sandra, I thought you were her only fan.

  • yerkesbabe

  • AprilRain

Well honestly, I had thought about taking my daughter when she comes in July over here, but if she’s gonna be touching herself like that.. 😮

  • bama_n_jersey

WOW Sandra you going in on Ri-Ri

  • b-boy817

The chick has no stage presence..
She just doesnt live up to the image she carries…..
Looking a RiRi, you would think this chick is about to get on stage and give you a show out this world, but she is a huge let down everytime, I think folks are catching on the that.

  • http://myspace.com/rayne215 spongebobfan

Wow i just realized we havent been getting daily riahnna post…and this post confirms you no longer like riri lke that.. oh wells.. but i think that b-ball player of hers is a UPGRADE from immature CB.. that matt dude is fione! but seeing riri in concert? ill pass, maybe if my nikki was still there…EWWWWWw she has Ke$ha basic b!tch on tour though..

  • b-boy817

    **looking at RiRi..my bad

  • qtipthecat

She can’t sing live and that would piss me off if I paid to see her in person.

  • Candi Apple

Sandra I am shocked by your statements, Rhianna WHAAAT.

They say she simulates orgazims on stage. Thay is why she is holding her coouter bucket. :warning: All who went were not happy.

  • cheeks8683

I went to a Kanye concert a couple years back and she was the opening act…she has no stage presence and was very stiff…that’s why she can’t sell. She is no headliner by far.

  • http://pearlswindow.com Carrington

I was wondering how long it was going to take for Rhianna to go from “hawt” to “hoe” in your eyes, Sandy. LMAO!

I promise, I never know when to trust your opinion of someone because that $hit changes like the direction of the wind.

It’s interesting that you have a problem with the way Rhianna dresses, but you have NO problem praising baby mama’s like Monica and serial baby daddies like T.I.

I don’t recall Rhianna having any children or her fanbase being CHILDREN. If a PARENT takes their CHILD to see a Rhianna concert, then the parent is at fault. She’s RHIANNA for pete’s sake – not Raven Symone!

  • pointhimout

u know music is shot to hell when the most talentless of them all headlines a damn tour. maybe now she’ll go take a much needed seat. permanently.

  • Val

@ OutsidetheBox Says: I wouldnt do that if I was you~ that sex robot is def not suitable for kids OR those raunchy lyrics

I have a 15 yr old daughter myself and even though we sit back and discuss similiar issues, i just feel that it would be a contridiction to take her to a rihanna concert becuz we all know that rih is going to be as sexual as possible. the rude boy song was enough for me.. I dont even think teens are her tagerted audience… just sayin

or maybe its becuz I see my daugheter as a young lady and would much rather wait until Monica goes on tour… we teach our kids, andIm sure you do- but these artists do have some sort of effect on them- and rih is def not taking my daughter i the wrong direction- I do her worst than chris before I LET that happen

  • Al-Ameera

In truth RiRi has never been all that, I think people fell in love with her because she was a pop princess-girl next door type not cuz she was uber talented.

Now with her new bad girl steez (all the tats, trying to be hard with guns, devil signs, suicidal videos, and super sex kitten act) people are just over her. Oh not to mention she is always crying victim, which is so tired

  • Lyssa02

For some reason, it bothers me that people feel a celebrity should be an example to THEIR child. How bout YOU be a dang example to YOUR child.

I listen to various types of music, see different crap on TV but praise the Lord my parents raised me great enough that celebrities aren’t my prototype for what life is suppose to be. I take it for what it is, a gimic/act.

  • PAHairston

Hello All. While RiRi can be very risque and raunchy on stage and off, she’s no worse than Lady GaGa, although GaGa is a better singer, IMO. And Beyonce can be real nasty at times, and our young girls love to emulate her also! None are good role models,IMO. Now take Dr. Dorothy Height, now she’s a REAL AMERICAN ICON. (I’m just saying, just saying, just saying.) Rest in peace Dorothy, you got the royal treatment today at the Natl Cathedral: Obama and wife, Hillary and Bill, Biden and wife and Pelosi, Jesse and Al, Cosby and Camille, I can go on and on and on. If RiRi or GaGa dies today, who will be there to share their legacy? What legacy? Peaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

  • QuettaV

I THINK SHE IS A REAL PRETTY LADY AND AS FOR HER SINGING… :waiting: REALLY TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING NICE TO SAY….

  • jazi65

You’re quoting Perez? . Let me know when the real critics chime in.

  • buttercup24

See I never thought Rihanna had talent. I thought she was a cute girl who could hold a note and had fun music. I’m talking the whole “Pon de Replay” and “If it’s lovin that you want” days. The new Rihanna I never felt. Yeah she’s stylish (sometimes) and she’s cute but that’s where it ends for me.

  • KrayZKat

I don’t see how anyone could sit through 5 minutes of hearing her voice. It’s extremely annoying to me – like fingernails on a chalkboard annoying.

  • Candi Apple

ooohh she dressed nice……. Now not so much….

    Her style game was superb.

 I :cosign: with everything you said. I think Dorothy Height was a great role model and I think young girls need to research her history and learn about the greatness in this woman.

SN: I tried to attend the funeral to ask one of the family memebers could I get one of her hats…. that lady knew she wore some nice hats!

  • OutsidetheBox

    Val…?

You are not me. And I was a 15 year old girl once so… If her grades are good, she can go. She likes her music…she also thinks she dresses weird. 🙂

LOL @ you talking out the side of your neck…raising her to be a lady and then advocating violence. Loves it.

Monica? I really love her new CD. …have you been privy to her personal life? I loved Monica when she and I were both teens…you ever heard Miss Thang…?

  • pinksghetti

It’s best if she just quits music and becomes a model. To me she is one of those “singers” who just want to be famous not because they love music. If she were really into it she would take singing lessons and work on her stage pressence. She does have good songs though and she is still scary to me, LOL.

  • http://pearlswindow.com Carrington

Isn’t it ironic that we have so many problems with the way Rihanna and Beyonce dress because we’re concerned about what those “images” will do to our “impressionable” youth – but many of those SAME parents who have an issue with RiRi’s style have NO problem brainwashing their children with the degrading/ignorant lyrics to some of their favorite rappers’ songs as they blast them through the house and in the car.

You would never hear people blasting the way Jay Z dresses.

    Hypocritical much?

  • OutsidetheBox

Thanks for rousing my memories!!! I used to love that CD!

“…I meet guys that are my age, but they can’t relate to me
Because I’m too much for their minds, and their young mentality
    Confidence is what you bold
And my friends are much too old
But I swing out when they swang
And that’s how I got my name

But it’s all right for me to think it’s all about me
Too many people tryin’ to check but they can’t see
I know you wouldn’t wanna think that I’m naive
Said I may be young, but I’m experienced
In all I need to know, that’s why I’m…

    MISS THANGGGGgggg!!!!”

Oh well not surprised no talent, can’t sing, is really shady and has alienated her family for a new industry family-Wow way to be successful!

  • BAY2LA

Now Rhianna encourages the promiscuous behavior of our youth?? Just a couple months ago, Sandra was on her coattail more than anyone else. Its so nice to see how this site flip flops more than anyone else & boasts their consistency on a regular basis. I even recall Sandra supporting Rhianna when she encouraged young girls to send explicit pictures of themselves to their boyfriends & to experiment sexually. This is the role model you supported & basically became obsessed over Sandra, don’t punk out now because her popularity is fading. Be consistent with your posts & stand strong in your beliefs. It’s nothing worse than a hypocrite.

  • OutsidetheBox

I just re-read my comment and I’m kind of snarky but that’s what you’re going to get when you say stuff like: “..or maybe its becuz I see my daugheter as a young lady…” AND IMPLY THAT I DONT THINK MY DAUGHTER IS A YOUNG LADY. STFU and STFD ’til you know how to talk to ppl.

    Now that’s snarky.

Carrington and OTB….yall both on point. Back to lurking

  • LuvMySailor

I think Rihanna lost a lot of respect after the whole CB situation because she only chose to ‘open up’ when her CD came out.

And yes, her lyrics are sexually suggestive. I just heard ‘Rude Boy’ all the way through today and while the song is sexy for someone my age (25) anyone under 18 has no business hearing it…or Ciara’s new song “Ride” for that matter.

These female stars are geting dirtier and sexier and it is disturbing. Why do we have to become sex symbols to be taken seriously in pop culture?

  • Shauny

oh and who’s surprised that Rhi Rhi is Sandra’s latest victim of praising them to the highest level today to dragging them through the mud tommorow.

“I raise my child not the music/videos she listens to/sees.”

Thank you @Shauny. My sentiments exactly. I am not going to pretend like I don’t remember when I was 15 and all the shi.t I loved that my mama ‘nem hated.

I was never a child [(c)New York] and it was very difficult when I wasn’t with my mother or close family because ppl would always imply that I was “grown” and such…as a result I am sure no one was surprised when I had a baby…they also were NOT surprised when I graduated high school, college, and continued to raise any future children without nary a hand extended for favor…the only Favor I need is God and I’m doing well with that!

They were not surprised because they know how they raised me! When I told my grandma she said, “Well, I’ll be. I thought something was wrong. Women been having babies…well, forever, girl! Finish shelling them peas.”

    *ass whooping averted!*

Rihannas main audience is pre teen to teenage girls so the hypersexyness (another word I made up) is completely uncalled for. Yes a child can grow into a young woman with high self esteem, intelligence and outstanding morals and still listen to the garbage that’s being put out nowadays and attend concerts showcasing this nonsense BUT many kids won’t and I for one am not willing to risk it. The music and entertainment industry are intentionally marketing this garbage to kids knowing they’ll listen to anything with a catchy hook and good beat regardless of the message in the song. Its not a coincidence that so many of todays youth are as promiscuous as they are, are into the drug scene like they are, are turning their backs on morals and idolizing these high paid porn stars imitating singers and rappers and I could go on but more parents need to take a stand and say they won’t support junk nor will they allow their children to so that the industry will stop promoting filth to children cause if we don’t its only gonna get worse and too many of todays kids don’t have parents who are actually parenting and they’re getting caught up in this mess. As far as my house goes, I don’t support most of these artists and I don’t allow my children to. I don’t have cable so they can’t watch music videos and my kids are not allowed on the computer/internet without my direct supervision. The newer artists that I do support I allow my kids ro listen to those songs which I have pre approbed and I have a playlist for my iPod in the car with kid friendly songs. My kids are huge fans of old school music anyway because that’s mostly what they get and my son now hates autotune and can tell from listening to a snippet of a song whether the artist is using real instruments or a sound machine. I realize I can’t shelter them from everything but the things that I can avoid I do. They know right from wrong and what’s allowed inside and outside my home so even when my oldest comes home from school singing song and doing dances that aren’t allowed it only takes one light pop and a look from me and it doesn’t happen again. She cut herself off from Hannah Montana after the 20 something year old boyfriend and stripper pole incident because she said she could no longer look up to her and respect her anymore and although I didn’t force it and initially told her that wasn’t neccesary I was very proud of her answer. She is 9 years old with the body of a woman. Its harder to raise them by taking so much care in every aspect of their lives but I’m more than willing to put in the work and my kids are worth it. I also talk and listen to them about all subjects, let them know what I expect and every day I mention three things at least once, college, no boyfriends/girlfriends til hs, no sex/kids til married and out of college. Its now drilled in their heads so if I forget one of them brings it up. As a result of all of this and more I have 4 highly intelligent, very respectful, well mannered, happy kids who know God and right from wrong and who I’m confident will not repeat the mistakes I made. I guess my point is I feel what Val is saying, I would never ever take them to a Rihanna concert especially after seeing these stills. The steer a child in the way he should go and he will not falter saying is good in theory but it needs to be put into action especially around these artists who are basically stating that sex with lots of men and females is a good thing as long as you’re having fun, dressing like a slore is ok, feeling youself up in public is sexy, dressing half naked is sexy and lots of other messages that kids today just don’t need. What is the point in telling your child sex at a young age with multipe people is not okay and can lead to death, respect yourself at all times, don’t expose your bodies for all to see and all the other things we teach our kids and then taking them around someone whose entire public image is a direct contradiction to that? Like that Wacka Flacka dude. His manager constructed this entire street image to sell records, gave him Gucci as a mentor, and he’s already been shot at twice, I think he’s been arrested and he hasn’t even dropped a mixtape (at least I don’t think he has). And his manager is his mom but she’s more concerned with making her son rich and a star like these other sorry excuse for men rappers that she has put her childs life on the line. If you’re gonna be a mom and preach right from wrong, responsibility, self esteem and all the other things we instill in our children from birth why would you then turn around and not only support an artist who contradicts all a mothers teaching but expose your children to them in the process?

Sorry for the essay (and any typos I’m sick and have been sleep most of the day and I’m still a lil out of it) and I know I’m late I just hope you guys come back (I’m on west coast time). I’ve felt this way since right at the time my older two hit the age of understanding and for awhile I kept them on strictly gospel (which the still love and ask for) but I really had an eye opener this weekend and this issue is one I’m really passionate about.

@starstruck, it might be a tank but it looks like a penis lol and you’re right its not just music, but a lot of the real bad movies kids can’t see in theaters and most parents who won’t censor music will censor rated r movies, adult tv shows and things like that. I censor all of it but I’m probably considered psycho and irrational to some people. Even some of these Nickelodeon and Disney shows aren’t for kids but parents assume that because its on those networks they’re okay but I had to stop my daughters from watching some of the shows because they were for teens and she was only 7 at the time acting like a teenager

Ms, Everything just wrote another book of the Bible… girl you and your epistles. :lolol: And she’s not on a damn penis, what balls look like that to you? STOP HATING!

Anyways FLUCK ALL Y’ALL WHO HATE ON RIHANNA!!!! SHE’S IT. Her album not so much. How many people can pull of skunk hair and still look hawt? Yeah I thought so

Val, I really do hope your daughter is everything you think that she is, but it sounds like your daughter is smart, its those ones you gotta watch. I know, I was one. The sneakiness of a teenage girl should never be underestimated, especially when they have an image to uphold with their parents :shrugs:

OTB, you need a penut butter and banana sandwich STAT!

@ATLk… don’t believe everything your married male friends tell you about married life. The plain and simple truth is that is they didn’t like their wives, they would leave.

I am so surprised that you would say something this foolish (in my opinion). There are married men all over the world who no longer care for/love/like their wife, yet are still married to their wife simply because it is easier/cheaper to stay than to leave. If your statement was true, there would not be so many cheating men.

There are plenty of males and females who do not like their spouse, yet they remain married. Some stay for appearances, some stay because they will honor their vows, no matter what…and a multitude of other reasons.

    ATLk,

You would believe it’s foolish huh? If a man is not happy, trust me he’ll change his situation, whether by separation or divorce. Any man complaining about how “boring” his wife is to another woman, is usually trying to build sympathy with a different woman for whatever reason. He likes his boring wife and that’s why she’s still his wife.

Damn I woke up and logged in just to see me getting talked about for MY opinion. Wtf? Hell I guess I should just be happy I’m not sensitive and my feelings don’t get hurt easily. I’m not the first or the last to write long comments and I’m not gonna edit myself and opinion on something I feel strongly about to make it easier for those who don’t like to read so if you don’t like it :shrugs:

  • OutsidetheBox

    @Ms.,
I got what you were saying and I felt like it was for me…but what about my comments and what I have said here has made you think that I would purposely intro my daughter to something IF i felt it was detrimental?

The sheer fact that I am alive and THRIVING with 5 greedy, growing, intelligent kids should tell you that you are preaching to the choir!

People get upset when you act like your way (not you specifically) is the only way…you know that.

    I’m living proof.

  • Ms.Everything

But why does my religious beliefs and faith come into every conversation about me? I didn’t bring it up except to say my kids are fans of gospel music and know God so why do others feel the need to?

  • Ms.Everything

@OTB, I don’t think you would intentionally introduce your daughter to something detrimental to her. That’s why I said you seem to be a good mother but my point was that so many say its just music and believe it can’t affect a child negatively and that’s just not true. So while you’d never hurt, damage or expose yiur child on purpose sje could see something at the concert hear something in the lyrics that could stick with her and influence her future decision making. Its possible that nothing will come from it and it is just music with her but I’m not willing to take that risk with mine. Like I said I had a major eye opener over the weekend and I’m looking at everything differently now and there really is a movement in the entertainment industru to negatively influence people and teens are the main target because they are so easily influenced, image conscious and naturally rebellious. I’m not talking about that illuminati crap either before you think I’m a conspiracy theorist

  • Ms.Everything

Sorry for the typos I can barely see my keyboard and screen

  • OutsidetheBox

I dont think youre a illuminati crazy! LOL

Whats wrong with you though…youve been MIA a little and now you cant see your screen…you alright out there sister?

And I dont mind you pulling your religion into anything…the preaching to the choir line was just an idiom. Dont take it that way. I always need all the prayers I can get. Trust!

  • Ms.Everything

Lol thanks. I’ve been sick and they put me on a new medication to help with the nerve damage and I think its messing up my eyesight. Everything is blurry. I wasn’t talking about you with religion Karaz said I was writing a new bible epistle lol. I pray for everybody even before I could comment I would read the comments and pray when somebody was going through something lol

  • OutsidetheBox
