You’ve probably seen it already. The much-anticipated music video for Kanye West and Jay Z’s “Otis,” featuring Otis Redding, premiered last night across all cable music networks. The artsy “Otis” was directed by Spike Jonze, and it’s being called the video of the year.

@ MAN, you are sooo right about that! I remember when Ye first came out and he was on 106 & Park and mostly all of Rock-a-Fella was there, including Dame Dash, on the stage w/him while he performed and basically I saw Jay in the cut mean muggin’ him! I talked chit on him for months after that! PLUS, he didn’t even want to sign Ye. He just wanted to keep in doing beats. He didn’t want anyone to be more famous or as famous as he is! UGH!

Nobody wanted to sign Ye as an artist. He worked with them Bad Boy producers for a couple of years ghost producing. I’m sure he made it known he wanted to be an artist. Everybody just wanted the beats.

@ Lakes….TRUST WHEN I SAY, I HAVE A MEAN MUGG OUT THIS WORLD & I can be known as a BISH! I’m sweet but I keeps a bish in check! I remember when I thought I had a friend and me, my wife, her & her girl and about 5 or 6 others use to go out to the clubs ALL THE TIME. Dayum near every weekend (I was sooo much younger). Well, her and her girl broke up and it was just me and my wife out. Well, my “supposed friend” comes in and we are all talking, etc. My wife is a pretty good lucking girl to be a stud & she looks over @ me and tells me “you better be lucky you’re my friend” talking about my wife. Laker, hem his pants yourself. Mine is short too and that’s what I have to do.

Recently I have been doing them myself without using a needle.(I am old school and grew up using a needle to make my stuff fir me proper). Singer’s sells a “liquid stitch” at walgreens or cvs about $5 and all you have to do is have little man try the pants on inside out and cuff them to rememeber the spot. Then get scissors and cut the extra jean off spread the glue (which is what it looks like) and let them sit for 24 hours.

Then tada you have custom tailored pants to fit little man.

ION know. Ye has more charisma when he says what he says so it just sounds better. Tupac wasn’t the best rapper but he had the presence that commanded attention. On a couple of tracks it sounded like Jay was like a tenth of a second off the beat. I do think lyrically Jay went in on a couple of them and if people heard his verses come out of somebody else’s mouth they’d think the shyt was hard but the Jay hate is at an all time high right now.

I forgot about the liquid stitch that stays put too even when you wash them. I have the opposite problem My little girl is lanky.. When the pants fit around the waist they are too short.. If they fit length wise, they are too big in the waist. She is the belt queen. I had to get creative because I can’t afford to tailor and buy her cute fun belts (waist tailoring is much more expensive)

Wut, my son is thin in the waist too, which is why I really like the pants/jeans with that “inside belt” you know the elastic that you button to make them fit.

Maybe you can stitch an elastic band in at least her favorites But remember to cut the elastic shorter than you need so that it will hold or else it’ll be loosey goosey after a minute.

and i think the exact opposite lol. jay got one of the most versatile flows in the game period thats why he still on top at this point in the game. the thing that i think attracts people to ye more is his emotion along the same vein as pac. he cant rap better than jay but in ways his flow is more accessible to people. jay lyrics a little more complex and somebody who not into lyrics wont catch a lot of what jay says passed the surface level. but on a song like who can stop me on WTT ye could do nothing but take a seat and watch his big brother shine

drake would have tried to sing and mess up the whole song. hiphop is an artform built on excess and celebration of fame. even though they drop introspection on the album if i wanna hear somebody talk about money and fly chit i want it to be somebody like jay and ye who i know living that life. not somebody who talk about racks on racks on racks and i make more money than them. but believe it or not that serves as inspiration to people.
