Audio: Trayvon Martin’s father reports his son missing in newly released 911 calls
Tracy Martin, the father of Trayvon Martin, called a non-emergency 911 line at the Sanford police department on Feb. 27 to report his son missing the morning after the teen was shot to death by an overeager neighborhood watchman.
“It hasn’t really been 24 hours, but I’m from Miami and my son’s up here with me,” Tracy Martin tells a dispatcher in the 8:39 a.m. call released Wednesday.

“I’m actually staying at my girlfriend’s house,” Mr. Martin told the dispatcher in a calm voice, explaining that Trayvon didn’t know anyone in Sanford.
A second phone call released Wednesday, the dispatcher called Mr. Martin back a few minutes after the first call to ask for more identifying information.
“Does he know anybody in the area that you think he might have went to, like a friend’s house or anything like that?” the dispatcher asks. Tracy Martin says no, “I have a nephew up here but he’s not at my nephew’s house.”
At the time Mr. MArtin placed the call to 911, Trayvon’s body lay unidentified in the morgue at the Sanford Police department for over 12 hours.
Trayvon crossed paths with George Zimmerman on Feb. 26 inside the Retreat at Twin Lakes community where he was staying at the townhouse of his father’s girlfriend.
Zimmerman is currently being held in a Seminole County jail awaiting a bond hearing on June 29. Zimmerman’s $150,000 bond was revoked earlier this month. He faces a 2nd degree murder charge in Trayvon’s death.

Wow, I didn’t know it took some time to find out about their son, that’s horrible. I won’t listen to the audio purposely. There’s no need to jump off topic so quickly. I see this as a wake up call. Pay attention to your children’s whereabouts, no matter how old they are. My cousin just told me that human trafficking (prostitution) is becoming really big now. Teens are being snatched off the street and forced into that life. I won’t even get started over the senseless killings.
They keep showing this LA Riot documentary on VH 1 almost as to show a blueprint on to how it may / should go down upon an acquittal, Imo.
Just finished watching the La Riots doc on VH1 with my sons. Used it as a black history oppt. They sat there quietly and listened to me without one wiggle or moan of complaint. I told them if Zimmerman gets off. We may be faced with the same scenario.

I am so incredibly sad regarding this case…
And I truly do not want to listen to the tapes. I really wish the conviction will come because I can only imagine how the family feel having a daily reminder everyday that their son and loved one isn’t here and having the events prior to his last moments played out.

i can’t listen to this. a friend of mine was missing after going out in the middle of the night to get a prescription filled for her toddler. her mom had to call all around. it’s a terrible thing. it turned out she was hit by a car running a stop sign in a police chase and died.
glad the chief was fired. sanford did this family DIRTY.

Bootcamp- If that was my kid (which it would never be), it would be some slow sanging and flower branging. I had to cut it off. One told the lady you so fat if I cut your stomach McDonalds would fall out. Another one said your family killed themselves so they wont be near you. Her son committed suicide 10 years ago.

GIRL, I was watching this episode of First 48 and these lil young dumb kids robbed and killed this man. The lil girls that set him up were like 14-16/17 years of age. “Butta” came in and shot the man up. “Butta”
was one of the lil girls “bawwwfriieeennnd” (in my Bawbra voice off of Teen Mom). EVERYBODY ended up being charged with murder. Dude was the pianst for his church. Sad. I immediately dialed up my daughter and told her about it. I have to stress to her about the seriousness of these crimes and decisions these young kids make.

based on watching the first 48, i would venture to guess that at least HALF the black men in prison are there because they were WITH someone who committed a crime. i’ll never forget the episode where a YT was in the car with a couple who murdered a guy in the car (so ALL of them were in the car). the police went to his house, saw it was in a nice neighborhood, and decided not to charge him because he wanted a chance to go to college.

Zimmerman story just don’t add up. In his statement to the police he said Trayvon was banging his head on the sidewalk, trying to cover his mouth while he scream for help, and reaching for his gun all while repeatedly striking you in the face. 1st Trayvon only has 2 hands, I just don’t see him being able to do all of this and still have the ability to hold a 200lb man on the ground when he only weighs about 150-160lbs.
