In Case You Missed It: Justin Timberlake, Jay Z on SNL
Justin Timberlake doesn’t get it; his tune with Jay Z, “Suit and Tie”, really does suck. During his appearance on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, Timberlake performed the R&B track with a full back up band and chorus. None of that helped to improve the audience response to the weak song. So when Timberlake dragged Jay Z, 50, onstage for a duet, the crowd went nuts.
During a recent concert in London, Kanye, 35, dissed his former friend Jay Z in a freestyle. “Remind me again who’s the original Superfly. Man, I got love for Hov but I ain’t f*cking with dat Suit and Tie”, he rapped.
Timberlake seemed to clap back at Kanye with a jab of his own during his duet with Jay Z. “Got a hit so sick got rappers acting dramatic,” rapped Timberlake, changing the lyrics of the song.

great performance. its amazing that in hiphop we dont celebrate our rappers as they get older. Even though jay is one of the only ones to do it at a high level even in older age its funny how folks say he need to stop cause he getting old. Rock and rollers make millions touring into theirs 70s-80s but we dont set up our stars to have that same type of longevity cause we crucify them for the very thing we all do, which is grow old. And for non lyricist listeners then jay verse might not fit but in what he actually is saying it goes perfectly with the song.
I think that the song would be Hot! If it was sung by Ryan Thicke, also it needs a remix with a female verse, singing about her Dress and Heels, that verse needs to be sung by Beyonce. Justin Timberlake just isn’t as cool as he use to be, he has lost some of his swag for some reason. I’m just saying.
