The deadly Ebola crisis is increasing fears in the world of entertainment as celebrities quietly cancel plans to perform in the hardest hit areas in West Africa.

Over 2,000 people have died of Ebola in West Africa this year. Senegalese rapper Akon Thiam did not take any chances when he performed near Liberia in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo recently.

“…the Ebola virus is no joke, and to avoid contracting it from anybody, when Akon left the stage to crowd surf with the people that were attending his concert, he did so in a huge plastic protective bubble.

The concert was held in order to help bring a sense of peace and togetherness to the city of Goma, which has been plagued with violence and unrest for the better part of the past two decades. Akon’s performance was widely publicized throughout the city, and prior to the show, 60,000 free tickets were given out. The show was a part of a much larger activation which was put together to help promote and support the United Nations’ International Day Of Peace.”

Hey MisTaken! I thought I was the only one that knew there was more to Mellie?! Like, she had to be holding on to Fitz for a reason and it didn’t seem to be all about being First Lady. This show is truly an obsession! I think Jake was all about B613 because Fitz left him to that life after the whole plane incident. He didn’t choose it but he didn’t have daddy’s connections to get out of it. I think Liv is the first person that made him question his allegiance to it and when he thought she was gone for good he took over command.
