Rap mogul Jay Z apparently has a long lost love child. In addition to the 45-year-old rapper’s 3-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, Jay Z has a 12-year-old son, Isa Jael, who lives with his mom in Trinidad. Now comes word that Jigga may have sired a 3rd child 21 years ago.
The young man’s name is Rymir Satterthwaite, and he wants his dad to acknowledge his paternity and to cough up 18 years worth of child support checks — preferably in one lump sum.
But before that can happen, Satterthwaite hopes Jay Z will stop dodging the process server and take a paternity test.
Satterthwaite’s mnom, Wanda Satterthwaite, acknowledged she had unprotected sex with Jay Z while still in her teens. Wanda graduated from high school in 1996, and she gave birth to Rymir a year later.
The single mom waited 17 years to name Jay Z as the boy’s father. She incorrectly assumed another man was Rymir’s father. But that man took a paternity test in 2011 and it came back negative.
For the past 5 years Rymir has attempted unsuccessfully to obtain a court order for Jay Z’s DNA to confirm his place as Jay Z’s heir.
Rymir accused his father of thwarting the process by giving the court his Manhattan work address. This led a New Jersey judge to dismiss the paternity case against Jay Z for lack of jurisdiction over a New York resident.
Not surprisingly, Jay Z is refusing to publicly acknowledge a child that didn’t spring from his wife Beyonce’s loins. Jay Z owes his career to Beyonce, and upsetting her at this late stage in the game would not be wise.
Still, Satterthwaite remains hopeful that justice will prevail and he will be confirmed as Jay Z’s heir.
On Thursday, the aspiring rapper Tweeted “Trying to stay positive.”
