Thousands of frenzied shoe enthusiasts battled it out in long lines all over the country as they wait to be among the first to buy the new retro Air Jordans X1s. They couldn't wait a few days when the supplies are replenished because they lack self esteem and they need the hideous shoes to impress their friends and boost their own egos. How pathetic.
There are reports of pepper spraying and fisticuffs as lines queued up for hours, and some for days. According to celebrity gossip blog TMZ.com, from Baltimore to Washington to Atlanta, people waiting in lines for the new Nike Air Jordan shoe are getting CRAZY violent -- except at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.
TMZ spoke with several people at the Bev Center who have been waiting in line for hours ... and some for days ... and they all seem to say the same thing -- it's been cold, but everyone has been extremely cordial.
It seems to be a sharp contrast from other shoe lines across the country -- so far, there have been reports of pepper spraying at a mall in Washington, a brawl in Kentucky and girl fights in North Carolina. Source
The shoes have been re-released numerous times over the years. The $180 shoes quickly sold out after midnight today, and are currently selling on eBay for $400.
Just as we suspected: those pics of a bloated, baby whale Beyonce shopping at Bergdorf Goodman were not her. As you can see from the pics below of Bey shopping at Curve in NYC, her nose is not spread across her face, and she hasn't picked up a pound anywhere other than her midsection.
In her shameless, never-ending campaign to stay relevant, Beyonce covers this month's issue of Jones Magazine. Her baby bump is not visible in this cover shot, meaning she removed her prosthetic -- or she knew she was going to be pregnant when these pics were taken. It's interesting that she's talking about motherhood when she isn't even pregnant in these pics!
“I believe that parents prepare their kids for the moment that they’re on their own: at this point, I am taking everything my dad and my mother have taught me, and I’m able to do things my way,” she says.
The cover was shot on the terrace of the Maurice in Paris, France by photographer Greg Gex.
The editor-in-chief of Jackie magazine, which referred to troubled singer Rihanna as a "Niggabitch", has stepped down.
Eva Hoeke cited the relentless attacks from Rihanna's Stans on social media as the reason for her departure. She explained that she used the term "Niggabitch" to describe the ultra slutty personal style that was influenced by Rihanna herself. Hoeke points out that the term was imported from America where we in the black community routinely use "nigga" and "bitch" as terms of endearment.
But since when does a journalist (or blogger) let Stans influence what they write? The article obviously was not a personal attack on Rihanna. Oh, I forgot, Freedom of Speech is only upheld as a constitutional right here in America.
If Rihanna wants respect maybe she should start by respecting herself?
Because of the enormous pressure from social media, I can promise improvement in terms of language used in future issues of Jackie.
Previously, I offered rectification. As I now come to the conclusion that rectification is not the right solution, I am departing.
"The term 'nigga bitch" has come over from America and we have only this to describe this particular style of clothes that we can try to interpret.
"After eight years, with my heart and soul, I have worked for Jackie. I realize that these errors - although no malicious intent - is a reason to leave."
An anonymous reader sent in these pics of Beyonce shopping for baby girl clothes at Bergdorf Goodman yesterday. The images appear to be screen captures from a video monitor. The reader was shocked to see how much weight Beyonce had gained in just a matter of days. But we're not surprised because Beyonce will go to any lengths to fool the public into believing she's pregnant. It is already a foregone conclusion that Beyonce is not pregnant -- but her surrogate is. If and when Beyonce "delivers" her "baby", it won't be in a legally sanctioned hospital or clinic. And the "doctor" who delivers the "baby" will be on Jay Z and Bey's payroll.
Kobe Bryant’s impending divorce may come as good news to Sanaa Lathan. A source who attended Jay-Z and Kanye West ’s Watch the Throne concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday tells us that the luscious-lipped “Love & Basketball” actress was flirting seductively with the Lakers guard during the show.
“She touched his face, and she was shaking her a-- in front of him to the music,” says the insider.
Bryant’s spokesman, Michael Sitrick, says Bryant and Lathan were “both at the concert,” but he adds: “There was no flirting. There’s nothing there.”
Over the years the 40-year-old actress has been linked with numerous single (and married) men and women in Hollywood. She is quickly earning a reputation as the neighborhood bicycle.
Beer hall singer Beyonce, 30, was spotted shopping with her mother, Tina Knowles, at the Agent Provocateur store in West Hollywood yesterday. Beyonce is on the west coast with her husband Jay Z who is currently performing with Kanye West on the Watch The Throne tour. This means that Bey, who is due to deliver something this month, is still flying on planes in her third trimester.
Any real mother knows that flying at high altitudes in her 3rd trimester puts the fetus at risk, not to mention it can be life threatening for mother and baby.
Gawker.com ran a Blind Item today about a surrogate mother who is living with her toddler in a Lower West Side apartment in Manhattan. The woman is reportedly 8 months pregnant, and looks bigger than Beyonce, who is supposed to be 9 months pregnant. Her rent is being paid for by an unidentified couple. The woman is described as "in her late twenties, and has thick, dark brown hair and medium-colored skin." And there is reportedly a "a full-time staff person and there is always a doctor or nurse on call."
Pseudo-pregnant singer Beyonce, 30, caressed her baby bump as she exited Sakura Nails in NYC last night with her fiercely loyal bodyguard, Julius, and her stone-faced mom, Tina Knowles (not pictured). Beyonce and her tiny entourage made their way to her waiting custom coach on a rainy evening in NYC's East Village. Beyonce got her nails polished in a bright blue color that matched her Christian Louboutin heels.
Maybe I'm just being picky, but does anyone else notice that Beyonce's bump looks a lot bigger than it did last week on Katie Couric's TV special?
It was one of those astonishing moments when a celebrity is caught on national television like a deer in the proverbial headlights. It occurred when ABC anchor Katie Couric, who was interviewing the cagey singer Beyonce, reached over, and without warning rubbed the baby bump that has been at the center of controversy for months.
Beyonce appeared startled as she reached down reflexively when Katie copped a feel. "I'm sorry, am I allowed to do that?" Katie asked as she snatched her hand back.
When a woman caresses another woman's baby bump, the moment usually passes quickly between the two women.
But Katie's hand returned to groping Beyonce's baby bump a second time -- as if Katie wasn't confident that what she felt the first time was actually a human baby.
It was clear that Katie was performing a tactile examination of Beyonce's baby bump, which was first introduced to the world in September at the MTV VMAs. Prior to that, no one knew the 30-year-old was pregnant.
Judging from Couric's reaction afterwards, it was clear that she still had her doubts that Beyonce's baby bump was real. But Couric never expressed those doubts on the air. We wish we could have been a fly on the wall when Katie told her friends what she really thought about the baby bump!
Attention whore Beyonce recently sat down with Katie Couric for an interview on ABC's 20/20 where she basically rehashes what she's already talked about in every other appearance that she's made. It isn't clear why Beyonce hungers for so much attention lately.
Every move Beyonce has made over the past 3 months has been orchestrated to put her front and center, in the national spotlight. This kind of attention-seeking behavior can't be healthy for her.
The rumors must be true that Jay Z ignores Beyonce when they're out of the public eye. And that he spends most of his time in the studio just to get away from her. Can you blame him?
Fans of The X-Factor contestant Brain "Astronomical Kid" Bradley were shocked at his terrible attitude during last week's results show.
The spoiled 15-year-old threw a mini-tantrum onstage and refused to perform when he landed in the bottom 2. His meltdown was reminiscent of troubled singer Chris Brown's most famous antics. The Brooklyn teen's cocky attitude was an alarming indication of what is to come when he faces real pressure from the music industry.
Astro is a perfect example of a kid raised in the narcissistic street culture of Hip Hop, where they have no morals or values.
Astro, as he's called, apologized to his "fans" and said the X-Factor was "punishing" him for something that occurred "behind the scenes."
"Just look at the numbers" he bragged during a recent interview. “I don’t see how you can have the most followers on Twitter out of everybody in the competition and get voted in the bottom 2. So, I thought something was jiggy."
After judge Simon Cowell scolded Astro for his bad behavior and told him not to disrespect his mother on national TV, Astro revealed that it was his mother who encouraged him to quit the show.
According to celebrity blogger Tami of Talkingwithtami.com, Lady Gaga's ex-choreographer, Laurieann Gibson, is dating local promoter Juan Farmer, cousin of has-been music producer, and compulsive womanizer, Dallas Austin. Who hasn't Dallas Austin dated? I bet he's on a first name basis with the staff at the local STD clinic. Anyway, according to Tami, Laurieann and Farmer arrived together and she spotted them holding hands at one point. But when she crept closer and asked to take their picture, Farmer acted all shy.
I agree with Tami, "If a guys looks uncomfortable/awkward being seen out in public with you ladies, run like hell! #fail"
The original post was edited to reflect the fact that Laurieann is dating Juan Farmer, not Dallas Austin. Juan hit us up just now and said, "Why do I have to be Dallas Austin?"
Rev Run's son JoJo Simmons found out the hard way not to DM females on social networking websites without checking out their stats first or at least asking his boys who already ran up in her to verify her equipment.
A tranny sent a video to Worldstar Hip Hop claiming JoJo was open to a down low relationship. The tranny said JoJo knew it wasn't a biological female, and to prove it she gave out JoJo's personal cell phone number and provided private text messages.
JoJo, who probably can't afford a publicist, immediately took to his Twitter page to dispute the allegations and to defend his manhood, which is currently in jeopardy.
We believe him because no industry man could be that stupid.
Tavern singer Beyonce touched off a firestorm of controversy when she appeared on the 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' show without her infamous baby bump as she performed her single "Countdown" off her '4' album. Beyonce's washboard tummy sent Twitter users into a frenzy on Friday night.
Even more damning for Beyonce's camp was the fact that Fallon introducing Bey as if she were right there in the studio!
Holding a copy of Beyonce's album, Fallon looked into the camera and said: "Tonight she's here to perform the song Countdown from her latest album, Four. Please welcome Beyoncé."
The uproar on Twitter.com caused Bey's PR reps to release a statement claiming Beyonce filmed the appearance way back in August. But why would Beyonce do that?
It is unclear why Beyonce and her camp would lie about the performance, or why they would want her feeble-minded fans to believe that she performed months ago.
Did you really believe TMZ when they said Kim Kardashian was going to sit her azz down somewhere until the media circus surrounding her divorce from Kris Humphries died down? She wouldn't be a narcissist if she took a seat out of the public eye. Kim was spotted leaving a home in Minnesota after meeting with her soon to be ex. Kim flew to Minnesota early Saturday supposedly to meet with Kris and their pastor about their pending divorce.
According to Radaronline.com, there's a provision in their pre-nup that calls for Kim to pay Kris for the value of her wedding ring in the event of their divorce. If you listen to Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, the wedding ring is worth less than half of what everyone thinks it's worth. Others in the know say Kim received the wedding ring for free as part of the TV deal with her show's producers.
First up for release, The Wives Association. This is the book Evelyn mentioned she was working on a few months ago. The plan is to release the book and then develop it for the “Big Screen”.
The book series to be co-authored by novelist and former Law & Order: Criminal Intent writer Courtney Parker. The books will be loosely based on Lozada’s life, using the alter ego Eve Inez-Landon to fictionalize the true stories she has learned from years of dating professional athletes. “The stories that you hear—what goes on in these relationships, and just being in that circle—I decided to let everyone experience a piece of it for themselves by writing this series of juicy novels,” Lozada said.
“By partnering with Baby and Cash Money Content, we have the potential to turn these ‘novels’ into a full-fledged brand,” Lozada explains. “Everything Baby and CMC touches turns to gold, and our brands together will be magical.”
Maybe I can meet with Lil Wayne over a bottle of coke and syrup and convince him to sign me to his label as A&R?
One of the two women accusing GOP frontrunner Herman Cain of sexual harassment 19 years ago was paid $34,000 -- the equivalent of one year's salary -- in a severance pay settlement, according to the New York Times.
The 2nd female accuser reportedly received 2 to 3 months severance pay in a settlement with the National Restaurant Association in 1992.
Last night, the woman's attorney, Joel P. Bennett, told Anderson Cooper that his unidentified accuser plans to petition the restaurant association to rescind the portion of her agreement pertaining to confidentiality. Bennett, a Washington lawyer, who has not met with his client in years, said the woman wishes to come forward to tell her story now that Cain is making her out to be a liar.
Bennett also indicated that the source who leaked the story to Politico.com was involved in some capacity with the National Restaurant Association which settled with the two female employees who complained about sexually inappropriate behaviour while working for Mr Cain.
To understand why the restaurant trade group settled with the two accusers, it is important to note the political climate of the times in the 1990s. Claims of sexual harassment in the workplace skyrocketed in the 1990s once the national media turned a spotlight on the phenomenon.
6100 sexual harassment cases were filed in 1990 alone. Most of those cases were settled out of court -- and almost all of the cases filed involved Caucasian women.
The most popular costume at the MusicBusinessPolitic/ Investment Club's 1st Annual Halloween bash at the Gold Room last night was the Beyonce Fake Baby Bump costume. But the 30-year-old singer who inspired the costume decided to give hers a rest last night as she donned a yellow and black Bumble B costume to attend Kanye West's Halloween party at the Darby restaurant in New York City last.

U.S. President Barack Obama sure knows how to play dirty. Now that political frontrunner Herman Cain has positioned himself as Obama's direct competition for the White House in 2012, Obama's camp comes out swinging with false allegations against the GOP candidate.
According to POLITICO.com, two women have come forward to complain of sexual misconduct by Mr. Cain during his tenure as the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s. Supposedly, the two female employees complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain. The women ultimately left their jobs at the trade group after quietly resolving the matter, multiple sources confirm to POLITICO.
The women complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Cain that made them angry and uncomfortable, the sources said, and they signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them financial payouts to leave the association.
The agreements also included language that bars the women from talking about their departures.
Yet, they are violating their agreements by talking to the media? Why is it news if it happened in the 1990s? If they thought they had a case, why didn't they sue? My guess is the women have demanded more hush money from Mr. Cain, who rightfully refused.
An irate woman lashed out at R&B crooner Usher for parking in a handicapped spot in Atlanta's Little 5 Points area last weekend, according to TMZ.com. Usher (and presumably his children whom he has custody of) were attending the Little 5 Points Halloween parade, and apparently he couldn't find a parking spot. So him being Usher who thinks he's above all laws, he parked in a handicapped spot.
That didn't sit well with a woman who screamed on Usher and told him to move his SUV. Usher refused. The woman was so irate she had to be restrained by other parade attendees -- some of whom were dressed up in costumes. Usher stood silently as the woman flailed her arms at him. She even grabbed Usher's hoodie at one point. The woman's young son can be heard crying in the background.
According to In Touch Weekly, which has been wrong so many times before, Beyonce and Jay Z are expecting a baby girl sometime next year.
In Touch claims to have spoken with a source who confirmed the baby's gender. We seem to recall reading somewhere that Bey's sister Solange "Loose Lips" Knowles also said the child was a girl. But we choose to believe reports that the fetus her surrogate mom is carrying is a boy. Either way, it will still be Beyonce's baby.
“Beyoncé is thrilled she’s having a daughter,” confides a close friend of the singer’s, explaining that while Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, would be happy to have a healthy child of either sex, she’d secretly been hoping for a girl. “She and her mother are so close, and she’s wanted to have that relationship with her own child.”
And though she and Jay-Z, 41, are like a second set of parents to their nephew Daniel, Beyoncé is a girlie girl at heart and longs to share her passion for sparkly outfits with a Mini-Me. Indeed, the singer — who adores the clothes her mom, Tina Knowles, designs for her — has been so eager to play dress-up with her baby that she’s already been breaking the bank at stores ranging from Gucci and Louis Vuitton to Gap and OshKosh B’gosh. “Her family’s afraid there won’t be anything left to buy for her baby shower in December!” the friend laughs.
In case you missed it (or just didn't care), Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon finally revealed the faces of their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, on ABC's 2020 with Barbara Walters on Friday. The twins look like your average mixed celebrity children who were bred for publicity purposes. There's nothing unique or special about them -- except to their publicity-hungry parents.
Mariah and Nick even created a website called Dembabies.com where they posted personal family photos for their fans. In one photo, Mariah and Nick dress themselves and the babies in The Incredibles costumes.
Mariah and Nick wrote on the website: 'We deliberated for so long about how to reveal the first pictures of our babies to the world.
We just didn't want to do the typical thing and display them in a tabloid (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Well, the "typical" thing would have been to tweet photos of their children like Victoria "Posh" Beckham did shortly after her daughter was born. But narcissists never do anything typical, do they.
Anyway, if you care, you can see more pics of the twins at the aforementioned website, or click here.
Yesterday, First Lady Michelle Obama told iVillage that Barack Obama doesn't like when his daughters watch the reality TV show 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'.
Now the Kardashian clan say they are shocked and dismayed at the presidential insult.
The Kardashian clan says they were completely blindsided when Michelle Obama revealed that Barack doesn't like when their daughters watch their reality show ... insisting the President has them pegged all wrong.
The K-squad is telling friends ... they read Michelle's new interview with iVillage ... in which she said, "Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians -- when they watch that stuff -- he doesn't like that as much."
We're told the Kardashians were "surprised" by the news ... because Obama personally told Khloe he thought "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" was a "great show" when they met last year.
In fact, the Kardashians believe Sasha and Malia could actually LEARN something from the show ... because it features girls in real-life situations facing real-life problems ... health, relationships, the whole gamut.
Thanks to loyal reader Stacy B. for giving us the heads up on Wendy Williams doing the Beyonce baby bump sit down test with two of her staffers who really are pregnant. One of Wendy's staffers is due to deliver her baby in February, 2012 -- the same month that Bey is supposedly delivering whatever it is she's carrying.
Update: after watching the video (and laughing my head off!), we decided to compare pics of what a real pregnant woman looks like when she sits, compared to bumbling Beyonce.
First of all, do you see Beyonce's awful posture when she sits? What pregnant woman sits leaning so far forward with her head down at an almost 45 degree angle to her stomach? Notice how she's not protecting her stomach when she sits the way a real pregnant woman would? We could go on and on, but you get the point.
Click the link to watch the results of Wendy's test!
According to the National Enquirer, the fairy tale marriage between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries is headed for the rocks. Who knew the wedding of the century would be over so quickly?
The ENQUIRER has learned that the 30-year-old reality star and her husband Kris Humphries have fought bitterly over her wild spending and other things – and one recent blowup ended with Kim storming out of the $7,000-a-night New York hotel suite where they live.
Their battles have gotten so bad that Kris, 26, is considering ending the marriage, which began in a spectacular Aug. 20 made-for-TV extravaganza, revealed a family insider.
“Kris thought he could handle living with hisevery move followed by a reality TV camera crew – but now he is having second thoughts,” explained the insider.
“He believed Kim’s hunger for the spotlight would tail off after the wedding, but it’s just gotten worse.
“He thinks she is more obsessed with being famous than having a happy marriage.”
The source added Kris is starting to believe “he is nothing more than a prop for Kim’s photo ops." The source told the Enquirer that Kris queried Kim about the real reason she married him. But Kim "exploded" like narcissists are known to do when they are challenged.
Kim reportedly ran out of the hotel "in tears". No doubt her tears were of the crocodile variety.
Kim returned to the hotel a few days later -- and just like a typical narcissist, she pretended like nothing had happened.
That's too bad. We really liked those two kids together.
NBA star Kris Humphries narrowly avoided the wrath of his narcissist wife, Kim Kardashian, when he nearly lost his wedding ring.
According to TMZ.com, Kris dropped his $10,000 wedding band when he removed it to walk through a TSA checkpoint in Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on Friday.
Sources close to Kris tell us the drama started when he had to take off his Lorraine Schwartz designed ring to go through the metal detector. We're told Kris accidentally dropped the ring while putting it back on -- but luckily the guy behind Kris recognized him as "Kim's husband."
The good samaritan -- and "Keeping up With the Kardashians" fan -- tells TMZ he got down on his hands and knees, searched for the ring, found it ... and returned it to Kris.
Kris posed for a thank-you-for-saving-my-bacon photo with the guy, and went on his way -- happy to avoid the wrath of Kim, no doubt.
As some of you know, Kimsha Artest was kicked off the Los Angeles chapter of VH1's "Basketball Wives" reality show. Kimsha didn't say why she was given the boot. But if her Facebook wall is any indication, it should be obvious why she's gone.
i see they cut me off the show and left buckle ass bitches. shaunie oneal can kiss my ass. she kisses ass to that evelyn bitch and gets the bitch who fucked her husband and cut her a cheque but cant handle a real woman. FOH! all yall bitches who aint like what i have to write can kiss my ass and leave the page. sick and tired of dumb bitches fronting. like that miami hoe who was bumping pocket books with Tank on her bday. FUCK OUTTA HERE!
An irate farmer halted the production of Rihanna's new music video for "We Found Love" after she took off her top during one scene in a muddy Northern Ireland field.
According to London tabloid The Daily Mail, Rihanna's raunchy sex moves shocked a Northern Ireland farmer on whose land she was shooting her music video.
Alan Graham, 61, pulled up in his tractor to tell Rihanna to cover up and later said, "Her behaviour was inappropriate."
Mr. Graham said he jumped down off his tractor and approached the 23-year-old star to tell her he didn't want that type of behavior on his land.
"I never heard of Rihanna until someone called me requesting the use of my land," he told The Daily Mail today. "I knew on Monday who she was. Someone explained she was as big as it gets as far as pop stars were concerned. I am a bit illiterate about those issues.
"My expectations were not made clear to [the man who requested use of the field], and everything that was going to take place was not made clear to me. To be fair to the people involved in asking for the field, I don't think they were aware either of what would take place.
'There was no agreement as such beforehand. I have not received any payment at this moment in time and I don't know if I will be paid.
'If someone wants to borrow my field and things become inappropriate, then I say: "Enough is enough. You are not entitled to do that". Source
The father of four said today: "She understood where I was coming from. We shook hands and parted company on good terms."
