Remember those Ciara Diaries posts I made a while back? Well, a couple of my readers Ciara and her assistant constantly dogged out Ciara’s ex-manager Philana Williams in the comments section.

One poster Ciara mentioned Philana’s client Tiffany Evans. Well, at the time, very few people outside of the industry even knew that Philana was managing Tiff. That slip up was a dead giveaway to the true identity of the blogger.

But this post is not about Ciara, it’s about the next generation of artists like Tiffany who can really sing without studio trickery.

Some of you are already familiar with rising R&B/pop singer and performer Tiffany Evans whose debut album dropped in 2004.

Ironically, Tiffany’s hit single “Promise Ring” featured Ciara. “Promise Ring” sold over 110,000 ringtones and 100,000 singles.

Tiff is currently hard at work on her sophomore album, “Ponytail Krush”, slated for release in early 2009.

A recent transplant to Atlanta, sixteen year old Evans describes this release as a coming of age project, which she calls an “emancipating experience.”

“When I sat down with my manager and the record label, I told them I did not want to be limited in the type of songs I recorded this time around. I want to make music for every one. I describe this album like turning a radio dial and no matter what type of music the station plays, you can find a Tiffany Evans record on the playlist.”

Evans went on to add “Anybody can wear a ponytail. No matter the age, male or female – ponytails are for everybody-just like my music is for everybody.”

Although no producers have been announced for the project, we expect Tiff to work with Super producer Jazze Pha, whose hit “Goodies” made Ciara a superstar.

Tiffany is NEXT!
