LAPD Launches Investigation Into Leaked Rihanna Photo

It didn’t take long for the LAPD to release a statement about that leaked photo showing the damage inflicted on Rihanna’s face by her boyfriend Chris Brown. Rihanna and her people are naturally freaked out about the picture leaking all over the Internet.

Everyone and their grandma knows someone within the police department got paid to leak that photo.

The image looks like it was scanned and sent out either via fax machine or email.

The LAPD clams to have launched an internal investigation. We hope that investigation includes bank statements and ATM receipts.

“The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation. The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” the LAPD said via a statement released on Thursday.”The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint. A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”

I still can’t believe he did all that to her. That more than just a one time hit in the mist of a temper tantrum. He really beat the hell out of her and it makes me wanna kick his ass myself.

Anyway, whatever dummy leaked that photo needs to be punished as severly as possible (termination, violation of oath charge-felony, I think)… Who can a victim trust if she can’t trust the dept that asks that she allow them to handle it rather than take matters into her own hands???!!! That was police depts ask…that we not extract vigilante justice but rather allow them to pursue justice on our behalf.

uhm Sandra…you’re more pathetic than i originally thought. why keep re-posting this picture – in effect, sensationalizing and making money off a really sad situation.

i’m not a fan of either of them…they’re both very young and my hope is that they both get counseling and do the hard internal spiritual work to become better people as a result of this situation. i could care less about careers recovering after this but rather that they get all the lessons God intends for us to get out of every situation life brings us.

@Miss I dont think his apology was weak. he doesnt owe me anything he owes Rihanna an apology and he cant come out BEFORE the court date and apologize publicly.

i’m always saying AMEN, AMEN and AMEN when you comment, as well. our collective life experiences shape us and how we respond to situations. both these young people acted/reacted based on their short life experiences and i sincerely hope they both grow and learn from this; although i think the media spotlight will make it that much harder for them to really “get it” on a deep, profound and spiritual level versus the superficial ‘action/reaction’ level.

This is a damn shame…..I hope the facts of this case come out and if it is what it appears to be, Mr. Brown needs some jail time !!

@Miss what would you to have liked for him to say? I don’t think that was his last apology just the first he said he was sorry (slap in the face or beat down still said sorry)He will make the media rounds over the next few months after the court date. I hope he is on thearpy as I type somewhere. I think he needs to be held responsible for his actions and continue on with his life and career.

As I stated before in a previous comment…they are human beings first! I cannot believe that anyone would want their dirty laundry published for the entire world to see. Whoever leaked the pic did the worst possible thing, but in a way I am glad because it puts the rumor to rest that he “allegedly” beat her up…now the proof is in the pudding!!

I hope they both seek God and get some counseling and move on with their lives; hopefully this will reach other young couples dealing with the same thing and they will realize that it’s not ok to be in an abusive relationship!

I don’t think the person who sold the photo is stupid enough to deposit money in his/her bank account. My guess they probably sold (or maybe gave away) the picture because they could no longer take the public sympathy and “get out of jail free” attitude towards Chris in this matter. It is unfortunate that this matter is playing out in the public. However, I really hope it serves to better at least some of our young men and women.
