Dentist may have exposed patients to HIV

A Tulsa, Oklahoma dentist is under investigation for serious health violations that may have exposed as many as 7,000 patients to HIV and hepatitis.

Yahoo News reports that Dr. Wayne Harrington is under investigation by the state dental board, the state bureau of narcotics and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency after one of his patients recently tested positive for hepatitis C and HIV with no known risk factors other than having dental work performed by Harrington.

Lil Wayne Epileptic

Rapper Lil Wayne is attempting to deflect rumors of his alleged drug use by claiming to be an epileptic. Epilepsy can be an acute (new) or chronic (longstanding) disruption of signals in the brain that results in controlled or uncontrolled convulsions (seizure activity).

In an interview with LA's Power 106 on Thursday, Wayne, 30, said epilepsy is the reason behind his multiple hospitalizations -- not his reported addiction to Promethazine/Codeine prescription cough syrup (aka Sizzurp or Purple Drank), which can also cause epileptic seizures.

Promethazine/Codeine is not prescribed for epilepsy.

Photos of Pope Francis kissing the feet of young male inmates at a detention center are drawing mixed reactions. Partly because the pope broke from longstanding tradition and also kissed the feet of 2 women detainees as part of the pontiff's Easter celebrations. The papal tradition of washing and kissing feet is usually reserved for kissing the feet of other male priests. Women have never been included in the papal tradition until Pope Francis' era. Apparently Pope Francis has been routinely washing and kissing the feet of the poor and downtrodden for years.

Sesame Street Gordon dumps wife

The ex-wife of one of Sesame Street's most lovable characters has filed for spousal support after she alleges he dumped her for a younger woman.

Roscoe Orman, who played the kind and nurturing "dad" Gordon Robinson, is accused of leaving his ex-wife, Sharon Orman, "destitute" after 40 years of marriage.

“I want people to know he’s been living a double life,” Sharon told The NY Post's Page SIx. “I gave up my career to raise the kids and never cheated on him. I am the one who made him a ‘Sesame Street’ dad. This is what I get after 40 years? You can leave me now?”

The Ormans, who have 4 grown children, never legally married.

Miami Heat lose to Chicago Bulls

The world champions Miami Heat stumbled in a hard-fought loss against the hardscrabble Chicago Bulls in Chicago Wednesday night. The Bulls, led by Luol Deng's 26 points, shredded the Miami Heat's defense to snap the Heat's win streak at 27 games. The Heat, who hold the record for the 2nd longest winning streak in NBA history, last lost a game in Indiana on February 1st.

"It really doesn't matter. I'm glad it's over," said Heat star guard Dwyane Wade, referring to the win streak.

Gucci Mane Denied Bond

Rapper Gucci Mane turned himself in to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night, after he learned there was a warrant out for his arrest.

Gucci, whose real name is Radric Davis, 33, is accused of hitting a soldier over the head with a champagne bottle during a scuffle at Atlanta's Harlem Nightclub on March 16.

Davis was charged with aggravated assault and ordered held without bond by a Fulton County magistrate Wednesday morning. his next court date is April 10.
