California Teen Charged With Biting Off Infant Son’s Nose

An 18-year-old father has been arrested and charged with biting off his 1-month-old son’s nose.

Fairfield Police in California’s Bay Area responded to a call from the infant’s “hysterical” 17-year-old mother, who reported that her son’s nose was bleeding. The infant was transported to a hospital where he was diagnosed with a skull fracture and brain hemorrhage.

The baby daddy, Joshua Cooper, 18, was taken into police custody.

From NY Daily News:

Cops said they later learned Cooper snapped and chomped off the boy’s nose after becoming frustrated with the tyke’s wails of pain.

The baby was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The disturbed dad was charged with child cruelty and aggravated mayhem.

Police are still investigating how the infant’s skull was fractured.

Authorities said a woman and her children suffered major injuries when a pit bull broke out of its cage at an animal shelter in Florida where she worked and jumped into the window of their van, attacking and biting the children.

The woman, whose name hasn’t been released, said she left her two young children – ages 5 and 3 – in the van while she went into the shelter to do some work.

The woman told authorities a pit bull had broken out of his cage and jumped into the passenger side window of her minivan and went straight to her 3-year-old son, latching onto his head and dragging him to the floor.

Police said the woman went after the dog, which continued to bite down on her son’s face during the struggle. When the mother grabbed the dog’s mouth to pry it open, the pit bull then turned on her, biting her in the face and neck, authorities said.

The woman said she was able to gain control of the dog and drag it back to its cage but as she attempted to run into the shelter for help, the dog broke free again and jumped into the vehicle a second time.

The dog began attacking the woman’s 5-year-old daughter, biting down on the girl’s shoulder, dragging her to the floor.

The mother again was able to subdue the pit bull and drag it into a secured area. She then got into the van and drove to the owner’s property, where she called 911.

When babies trying to raise babies – this is why I’m for getting a license to breed – you need a license to drive why not to procreate – too many mothers trying to kill their kids and father’s and boyfriends maiming and abusing the kids – if we had to pay and get licensed to breed (or face steep fines and castration/or the female equivalent hysterectomy then perhaps these storeis woudln’t be so commonplace… some chick in my neck of the woods was on tv laughing cause her boyfriend killed her baby… WTF laughing – I wanted to jump through the tv and woop dat azz… another one baby been missing since September – not a trace she wanna play dumb and abused now… uugghh I just want to stone the whole lot of them…

It’s just my opinion tho. I mean why she have the kids in the car if she has to “work”? and if the dog did escape he would’ve ran down the street instead of “jumping” in a car..once a dog is free most of the time he just take off running… If the kids had been outside the car maybe playing or something then maybe.. but a dog breaks free of a cage/shelter and decides to jump in the open window of a mini van.. yeah right
