Rapper Gucci Mane says he is “very rich”, but his baby mama Sheena Evans doesn’t need $20,000 a month for her and their 11-year-old son to survive on.
On Nov. 14, Gucci filed court documents asking the judge to keep his financials under seal if he is forced to turn over his financial records.
According to court docs obtained by The Blast, Gucci explained he is a famous musician and protecting his financials from prying eyes is crucial to his ongoing business operations and future negotiations.
Sheena Evans filed a lawsuit against the rapper to increase her child support after she saw how much money he and his wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, spend on luxurious clothing, bags, jewelry and cars.
But Gucci told the judge someone leaked the original lawsuit to the blogs and he fears the same will happen if he turns over his financial records.
Gucci says he is “very rich” and he pleaded with the court to use the highest level to determine any necessary child support increase.
However, he said Evans doesn’t need the $20,000 a month she is seeking for their son.
He called Evans’ monthly expenses “suspect” and he says her request for $20,000 a month is “nonsense” — including $800 a month on dry cleaning and $2,800 a month in “extracurricular activities.”
Gucci is currently paying Evans the standard Georgia child support rate of $2,076 a month based on his stated income of just $24,000 a month at the time.
The rapper denied dropping $1 million on his televised wedding to Keyshia.
