Friend of the blog Omar “slim” White has an interesting take on the Ray Rice controversy from a black man’s perspective.

By Omar “Slim” White:

Regardless of gender it’s never appropriate to abuse a person, physically or verbally.

Regardless of the initiator, “Two wrongs never make a Right.”

Now before we begin I wanted to shed light on “Gender Segregation”. Remember two months ago when a female celebrity laid hands on a male celebrity inside an elevator? Do you you see a difference in “societal energy” between that situation and Ray Rice’s situation?

If you noticed that female abuse is never exposed the same way as male abuse, then this indication signifies a bigger problem. This standard is the standard that destroys a society. Remeber the Feminist movement? (Woman’s Liberation/Second-Wave Feminism) Although that movement was necessary (women deserved the same rights as their male counterpart) but that “style” of movement did more harm than good as it created a divide amongst men and women because it was conducted “uncharismatic”.

Especially in the Black household as the Black family was united during the civil rights movement but once “they” introduced that 2nd wave of Feminism, the Black woman could identify with gender more appropriately than race. That movement had no support of the male counterpart.
So because that movement had no charismatic structure (Absence of Male presence) it made women feel that men weren’t necessary which in my opinion created this masculine energy amongst females.

This movement created a type of competitive energy between both sexes. There’s a reason why in black culture men spew they’d rather have “money over b****” or why women say men aren’t necessary because they have their own house and car. The irony of it all is that you can have material gain and Love under one roof but for some reason we’ve been tricked to hate one another.

70% of black women are single. Do you think this is coincidental? Surely we can’t be naive to think most black women are bad candidates for relationships. Do you think slavery had some influence in this picture? You do realize slave masters made female slaves physically beat male slaves? This same divide and conqueror tactic that took place amongst field negros and house negros is the same tactic used to divide the black family. So now that we’ve covered Gender Segregation and Double Standards, let’s talk about the “media agenda” within white supremacy and how those who operate within that realm use the media to sway public opinion.

Ray Rice definitely did something wrong to his wife but so did Cop Killers, so did Klansmen and so did Slave Masters who used black babies as alligator bait. But why is their “more” attention applied to one situation than another? Here’s my theory:

Since TV has become the average person’s GOD and when that person looks to their GOD for answers they will constantly see how terrible black men are. Which is why other groups turn the other way when unarmed black males are shot unjustly by law enforcement. So If we’re constantly portrayed as savages then if one of us is murdered then who cares right?
