Power 105 radio jock Charlamagne the god took the Rachel Dolezal debate to a whole new level by questioning black America’s tolerance and acceptance of Bruce Jenner as a woman.
Dolezal is the white president of the Spokane, Washington chapter of the NAACP who has been passing as black for over a decade.
Charlamagne took to his Twitter page on Friday to mock black Americans for their blind acceptance of cross-dressers like Bruce Jenner and Laverne Cox but refusing to accept Dolezal as black.
“If Bruce Jenner can be a woman Rachel Dolezal can be black,” Charlamagne tweeted. “So how can Bruce Jenner identify with what he wants to identify with but Rachel Dolezal can’t? I’m confused about this… So you can be transgender in America but not transracial?”
Charlamagne’s Twitter.com mentions lit up as outraged Twitter users challenged his opinion on the hypocrisy behind the current transgender movement.
He questioned the anger directed at Dolezal for pretending to be black and immersing herself in the black culture by comparing her to Jenner, who thinks painting his nails and wearing a dress makes him a woman.
“It’s ok to say Rachel Dolezal is crazy for identifying as black but say Caitlyn is crazy and you’re transphobic,” Charlamagne wrote, referring to Bruce Jenner’s pseudonym. “If you think transracial is b.s. Then you must think being transgender is b.s too.”
Charlamagne drove his point home by tweeting, “Caityln can’t be a woman no matter how hard she tries but America accepts her as one you feel me?”
I’m glad Charlamgne finally addressed the hypocrisy surrounding the media’s obsession with confused cross-dressing men.
