A 27-year-old Bangladeshi national is being held on a prison ward at NY’s Bellevue hospital after he was wounded when his crude homemade pipe bomb partially detonated in a midtown Manhattan subway station Monday morning.
No train commuters or innocent bystanders were injured in the failed bombing. The attack comes months after ISIS issued a postcard-style warning of an impending terror attack in New York City around Christmas.
Akayed Ullah was taken into custody after the bomb partially exploded in an underground tunnel linking the Port Authority Bus Terminal to Times Square at 7:20 a.m.
Port Authority police discovered Ullah writhing in pain on the floor. He was wearing a crude pipe bomb attached to his body with Velcro straps and zip ties. He was rushed to Bellevue hospital where he is being treated for shrapnel injuries.
Surprisingly U.S. President Donald Trump didn’t comment on the terrorist attack on Twitter.com this morning. The president is probably busy monitoring public statements given by 3 of his female accusers in New York City this morning.
The three women, who were discredited by eye witnesses last year, again accused President Trump of sexual misconduct on NBC’s Today Show on Monday. The three women told host Megyn Kelly they plan to demand that Congress investigate their claims.
