Rapper Kodak Black was released from a South Florida jail after posting bond on Saturday afternoon. The 25-year-old rapper was arrested Friday on drug charges.
According to reports, state troopers pulled over Kodak’s bulletproof Dodge Durango in Ft. Lauderdale for an expired tag and illegal window tint on Friday.
Officers smelled marijuana when Black opened the car window. A search of the vehicle turned up 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash, according to the NY Post.
The Pompano Beach, Florida native was seen leaving the Broward County Jail with his bowlegged bodyguard on Saturday afternoon. The pair were trailed by two videographers.

Black’s attorney Bradford Cohen tweeted that his client would be vindicated in court.
“Never Judge (sic) a case based on an arrest,” Cohen tweeted on Saturday morning.
“There are always additional facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We will get him a bond today and move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”
Kodak was one of three people shot at The Nice Guy lounge in west Hollywood in February. He is pictured with rapper Gunna moments before the shooting. Black fled the scene, but he called police a short while later to say he had been shot.
Gunna is currently in an Atlanta jail awaiting trial on a RICO racketeering charge.
Kodak, born Dieuson Octave, has a lengthy criminal history that includes multiple arrests on drug possession and weapons charges.
He was sentenced to four years in prison for weapons possession in 2019. His sentence was commuted by former President Donald Trump in 2021.
Last month, Black said happy birthday to Trump while wearing a $10,000 gold pendant that depicted the former president wearing a MAGA hat and smoking a blunt.
“Happy Z Day #DT I Love You N***a,” he captioned an Instagram post.
On April 28, 2021, Kodak accepted a plea deal in a rape case involving a teenage girl in 2016. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree assault and battery, and was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
In addition to “Super Gremlin,” Kodak is best known for his single “Zeze” (featuring Travis Scott and Offset), which peaked at number 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
