Johnny Depp‘s attorney, Camille Vasquez, is no longer representing Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
Camille dropped Ye as a client just days after he retained her to handle his business matters, TMZ reports.
TMZ broke the story, Ye retained Camille last week to handle his business matters, not his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, Camille informed her law firm, Brown Rudnick, she would no longer work with Ye. She walked away after Ye doubled down on his anti-Semitic remarks in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan over the weekend.
The law firm of Brown Rudnick still wanted to work with Ye, but only if he publicly retracted his anti-Semitic statements. However, Ye refused, and fired Brown Rudnick.
In his interview with Piers that aired Friday, Oct. 21, Ye called Piers “boy” and shouted him down when Piers asked about his anti-Semitism (watch video below).
CAA talent agency, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Balenciaga fashion house, and Vogue magazine have all parted ways with Ye. Adidas is reconsidering their business relationship with him.
Other Hollywood talent agencies are also considering ending their contracts with him.
Kim Kardashian commented on the controversy in a tweet Monday morning.
“Hate speech is never OK or excusable,” she wrote. “I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end.”
Kim commented after dining with former President Trump‘s daughter Ivanka Trump for 3 hours on Sunday.
Ivanka converted to Judaism before marrying her Jewish husband, Jared Kushner.
