Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock was ordered to pay her $2.6 million for booking high-profile gigs and pocketing the money when he was her manager.
A labor commissioner in California ruled in favor of Clarkson, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
Blackstock booked appearances on “The Voice” (for which he earned $1.98 million), a hosting gig for the “Billboard Music Awards” and partnerships with Norwegian Cruise Line and Wayfair for Clarkson.
However, the commissioner found that Blackstock should not have booked the gigs as Clarkson’s manager. Only Hollywood agents can legally book jobs for their clients.
Blackstock owes Clarkson a total of $2,641,374. He gets to keep the money he earned for helping Clarkson land her daytime talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
Clarkson married Blackstock in 2013 before filing for divorce in 2020.
In 2021, she let out a scream on the set of “The Voice” after receiving word that a judge upheld her ironclad prenuptial agreement.
She was awarded primary custody of their children, Remington and River Rose in 2021, Page Six reported.
At the time, Clarkson was ordered to pay Blackstock $195,000-per-month in temporary spousal and child support.
Court documents listed her monthly income at over $1.5 million in 2021.
The “Since U Been Gone” songstress and the unemployed talent manager finalized their divorce in 2022.
Clarkson was ordered to pay Blackstock a lump sum of nearly $1.3 million, as well as monthly child support and spousal support until Jan. 31, 2024, per court documents obtained by The Blast.
