I didn’t watch the AMAs’ last night (yawn), but here are some pics courtesy of the picture man, Drew Reports. Yes, I was too lazy to look up the pics myself. And, yes these are the same pics every other blog is posting, but if I don’t post ’em then you’ll keep emailing me asking why I haven’t posted any pics from the ~~boring~~ AMAs. So here you go.

I didn’t see a lot of the show. Boring and speaking of boring I caught Rhianna singing Rehab.. Nice song but she is so boring to watch live.

I tuned in just in time to see Bey..BORING! Same ole booty shaking and hair swinging. Her performance was borderline hoochie..I guess she’ll blame that on sasha huh (lmao what a stupid gimmick).

I was disappointed in Rhi Rhi cause I thought she was gonna bring it. The song is nice but there’s wasn’t much effort put into the performance. Her outfits were hawt though.

They saved the best performance for last cause the true divas brought it.

I really don’t like Rhianna at all but her makeup as FLAWLESS. The next time i got out, i am going to Bobbi Brown counter and telling them to hook it up just like that. I especially lik that she stopped all that weave mess and told her label eff them she is doing her. and then Keyshia decided to do the samething. She showing you don’t need weave to succeed.

Rhianna is just damn gorgeous and she knows it..i thought it was cute when she won the second AMA (sans in the haters faces) and gave her purse to chris to hold, and he promptly put it on the floor between his legs…LOL…too cute!

I loved Pink and Leona Lewis’s songs last night. I love their voices. I’m buying Leona’s cd cause of that song she sung last night.

Alicia’s performance was very regal and classy while Beyonce’s was the usual gyrating and booty slappin clown act that amuses people…It’s like a sambo back in the day degrading herself..stupid.

I expected more from Christina Aguilera…she shouldn’t have opened the show.

Nicole Scherzinger is a solo star. She needs her own career cause she shines above all the other girls…she just needs the right songs to come out and hit it hard.

Overall, the show was boring.

Rhiannah looked very pretty. Her dress looks like a fashion challenge off Glam God(as if it was mauled by a pit on the way up the carpet, but she managed to make it work).

Alicia looks as if she’s lost weight, and that was NOT a shape flattering dress for Dana(Latifa). Too bad TV and pictures make her look hella huger (is that a word) than what she really is in real life!

I had to saw I REALLY enjoyed the entire show. I love Neyo’s performance. Hands down he is the next Michael Jackson. Such a talented young man! Beyonce did her thing although I am not a stan. At first she seem a little off, but once she found her groove the performance was great. Rihaanna is a cute girl and I loved that dress she wore on the red carpet; however she has no talent when it comes to singing. Alicia Keys performace was great as well and I love her acceptance speech when she plug OUR president Obama. All in all, I would give the 2008 AMA’s an A. Due to fact I even enjoyed NKTB, Miley Cirus,Cold Play, and Christina Agulria. Or maybe it was because I was watching the show as I was packing for my cruise ton the Carribean on Friday. Yea:-)

Uhm, I do believe Nicole couldn’t get her coat off either. I remember another performance they did at another awards show, one chick FELL out of her chair, I do believe somebody slipped and then one girl, ran in from the SIDE of the stage AT THE END and tried to OUT/OVER sing Nicole. I promised I wasn’t going to post too much on the AMA’s but after reading yall comments — I had to come back. Rhi looked cute again chin up – FLAWLESS actually. Chin down was another story; curtain frock didn’t do it for me. SHE looked super HAWT in the leather, but the performance was terrible. Boring – need more energy etc.

Love Bey of COURSE – Sasha delivered. I loved the fact that the female from the VIDEO has been performing with her. Seen her on SNL w/ Bey and I think she was w/ her on 106 & Park.

Alicia did her thing as usual – she really nails it at these shows. ICON indeed.

Rihanna’s dress and performance was horrible, as usual she used props to throw you off them vocals and then she proceeded to start hollaring like she was actually doing something…Rihanna needs to study Beyonce’s performance tapes. But Rihanna has let all this cute stff go to her head.

Beyonce nailed it as usual had everyone up out of there seats jamming. She cant please everyone, first they were asking for SL live performance now they complaining about. People are hard to please these days, but she still tore it up.

Ne Yo is an entertainer and he knows it, well done.

Alicia did great until all the added distractions.

Beyoncé I almost gave Miley Cyrus this slot because it’s her 16th birthday and she overcame many of her pop-robot tendencies (and some seriously creepy backup dancers) to hold my attention through an entire song for the first time ever — but 16 is still too young to be writhing about in public, so my general discomfort disqualified her. Likewise, I ruled out Mariah Carey for relying entirely too much on her fan to make a dull song float, Coldplay for doing the same thing if you substitute “confetti” for “fan,” and Rihanna for a performance of “Rehab” featuring scaffolding, fire, and an eye patch that was very nearly as much of a hot mess as its video. Thus have I turned to the highly satisfying “Single Ladies” dance party, even though it was almost the exact same “Single Ladies” dance party we got on SNL a week ago. Whatever. It’s still a killer song. Although: Should I be concerned that all us single ladies are now adopting a group hand gesture? Might I abstain?

Beyonce performance was okay but for some one who supposedly can sing and dance at the same time she did a horrible job. lol

there was a severe lack of melanin among the female gender present and nominated last night on the AMA’s. The darkest ones were Queen Latifah and Mary J Blige.

Just because things have evolved where white artist are now the ones singing most of the popular ‘black’ genre sounds, is no excuse for the lack of aesthetic diversity on that show, or in the industry in general.
