Celebrity Seed: Randy Jackson

American Idol judge Randy Jackson and his biracial son Jordan, 11, attended the Magic vs Lakers game at the Staples Center in L.A. yesterday. The Lakers took game 1 of the NBA Finals with a resounding defeat over fine azz Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. Jordan is the youngest of Jackson’s 2 kids by his wife Erika Rider. He has an older son by a previous marriage.

The boy may very well like his wild fro. To each their own.

He does look like Randy. I don’t lnow why Sandra makes it her business to point of the race or adoption status of children. Most of the time we know already and simply don’t care.

    Assalaamu Alaikum…

By the way ain’t nothing wrong with that boys head. Blacks really are the only one caught up on the braid, hair cut low, ponytail phenomenon, White people don’t give a flying f*^& when it comes to kids, as long as their dressed and well taken care of…

    kcicero says:

    @ iscream

What does being well groomed have to do with a child wearing his head in the natural form that God made it gro? I’m natural haired myself and I think his hair looks a lot better than some of these little Black girls hair running around with that fake stuff down to their behind.

And bi-racial children come in all shapes and sizes and gasp hair textures. The last race/group of people I’m going to be taking hair pointers from is Black people…sorry.

I think the kids hair looks fine. My son has a short curly fro and he always gets complements but my sister always makes smart remarks about him getting a haircut. It’s ridiculous to me, let the kids be.

  32. 32
    iscream says:

Its not even the fact of its an afro because back in da day men and women use to rock some fly afro’s but they were well groomed. Remember they use to walk around picking and patting them fro’s.

Black men started relaxing their hair before black women. We use to get a press & curl.

  33. 33
    iscream says:

Okay KC I’m not going there with you today & I find your comment about black people to be a little offensive.

& natural doesn’t have to equate to wild. Which is what his hair looks like. You have dreads but I’m sure it isn’t the dreads like the rasta man wears, where it is lenty and mattered together.

Don’t take my comments to mean what your sister says about your son. Its wasn’t that serious.

  34. 34
    Daisy says:

The last race/group of people I’m going to be taking hair pointers from is Black people…sorry.

^^^^^^^^^^ Why? Black folks can fix and wear many different looks (not all of them are ghetto fab). Since when is taking pointers from blacks regarding hair a bad thing? I missed that memo I guess. I do not have a problem with Randy’s sons hair but I can see why others may.

  35. 35
    kcicero says:

My comment wasn’t meant to offend, so there is no need for you to go anywhere iscream.

Many of the BW that I am around, know including those in my family have no clue what to do with their hair so they slap a weave on it and go about their business while their hair underneath is brittle and breaking off and their edges are none existent.

And I wouldn’t compare his fro to the Rasta’s dreads. It doesn’t look dirty or lenty to me at all…

The boys hair looks fine, in my opinion and I don’t understand why so many Black people talk about bi-racial children hair when they wear it in an afro or they have it hanging in it’s natural form. I just don’t understand it.

  36. 36
    coaretained says:

IMO he just needs some oil and a pick.

  37. 37
    iscream says:

KC you read what I said wrong. I said I’m sure your hair isn’t lenty and mattered just bc its natural and dreaded.

I don’t care if this boy is bi racial (I never mentioned that fact) black, yellow or green I still say he needs to comb his hair. That’s it & that’s all.

I’m a black woman & I’ve never had a weave. Braids & a relaxer yes. & I don’t think there is anything wrong with wearing weaves. Some people aren’t good at keeping up their own hair. Some people like the changes that they can get with a weave. & there is always the if you can’t achive it weave reason.

Oh & I’ve seen people with natural hair (dreads) who don’t take care of it and it looks f-ed up.

  38. 38
    coaretained says:

just fa this post since we talking bout weaves… I’m putting up my blonde quick weave pic… I would never DARE do this to my own….
