New Music: Drake – You Know, You Know (produced by Kanye)

Yesterday, rapper Drake had the Internets buzzing after his debut album leaked online. Judging from the comments on other blogs, the set is wack and nothing to write home about. This track titled “You Know, You Know” is not on the CD (which may or may not be a good thing). Produced by Kanye West.

Thank Me Later officially drops on June 15.

Also, The new OK magazine says that Kim and Reggie are back together and getting married and having a baby….WTF?!?!?!

@Al-ameera: Yes, my children and I watched the show. I enjoyed it. Ice Cube is 41? He looks damn good. His character was pretty funny to me too. I wish the show well. We need more positive family oriented shows on TV.

They’re wrong for playing it in the middle of the TP (hardly) sitcoms. I watched both episodes and I actually liked it. I’ll tune in next week to see where it goes.

I heard Ice Cube on the radio yesterday and he said that some of the writers and producers of “Everybody Hates Chris”, are working on his show.

Drake album is pretty solid there is no way he could have lived up to the hype that was generated even if it was better than it is people would find something wrong with it. I will say he went overboard with the R&b tracks i know he sings and all but i wished it was more balanced like so far so gone. most people first albums are the best they ever do but i think in his case after he sees how people react his next album will come out better than this one.

I saw a little bit of Ice Cube on Monique. I love Cube a real good dude seems like. The show I totally forgot about! Monique comes on after it had went off and BET was blanking out “TBS” when he was saying it. I was like isn’t he on there to promote it? So stupid.

@ Yvonne, He will actually be 41 on June 15th. When I was younger I was his biggest fan, still love him, hence why I’m still a bit salty about SR trying to go in on him…Don’t say nothing wrong about Mr. Jackson!

@ Civil. Yeah I watch and I thought it was cute. I’m going to give it a chance. I’m so tired of reality TV, I’m glad there is an alternative. I thought his character was funny, reminded me of the crazy uncle everyone has always talking about war stories

I just read a horrible story about a young black man in SC being shot and dragged to death. The FBI is investigating it as a possible hate crime. Sad.

The show was okay to me. I watched it mainly because I really like Terry Crews and LOVE Cube – have been a fan of his since NWA. I hope the show does well.

I love Terry Crews…He is so humble and I enjoy his commericals lol! Does his show still come on? He has a nice family! I’m so happy for him. He used to play for the NFL, thats good that he was able to find another career after his football days where over…

@Civ, they’re investigating it as a hate crime right now. They’re saying that they don’t want to label it as something that it isn’t until they have all of the facts. Didn’t something very similar to this case happen in Texas last year and the charges were dropped?

I actually like the song! Drake is the new voice in rap now and all rap lovers can repect the new tunes from Kanye and punch lines from Drake… TEAM DRAKE….You Know You know….;-)

I just read about the crime in SC. I just cringed @ the thought. It upsets me to think that their is still hate crime against blacks. It brings me to all the controversy that surrounds the homosexual community and how they constantly refer their “struggle” in society due to their sexuality to those who are black.

SN: On topic but kind of off…How does anyone feel about those who are offended at the new Arizona law on immigration. I’m torn. It is illegal to live in that state without proper papers, does that make them wrong for requesting identification versus who blacks are racial profiled on a daily basis. Are they overeacting?
