On my 1st visit to the house I expected to see my patient in bed with a big bandage on her chest. my dad had a valve put in. they froze him up basically so when i went to see him after surgery, he looked dead. pretty much as soon as he thawed out, they released him! i was like d*mn, already?? i guess the technology is much better these days, lending itself to faster healing. they didn’t keep him any time and he was up on his feet as soon as he got home.

Auntie, that actually made me feel LOADS better, because that is what I am the most concerned about – her recovery and quality of life. Seeing someone with so much spunk and drive reduced to being motionless is something I would struggle with.

They’re saying she only has to stay for 4 days, and then she can go home. No going to the market for her though I’ll do all that.
