Women dating or marrying a bisexual man used to be taboo. But thanks to the hard work of LGBT activists and their allies, times have changed.

A 2016 survey by Glamour magazine found that almost two-thirds of women "wouldn't date a man who has had sex with another man."

Socialite Amber Rose, who is bisexual herself, once said she would have a problem dating a bisexual man.

"Personally — no judgment — I wouldn't be comfortable," she said during a Facebook Q&A. "I just wouldn't be comfortable with it and I don't know why."

But recent studies show women are increasingly warming up to the idea of dating bisexual men.

Prince Williams/ATLPics.net

Researchers in Australia interviewed 79 women in relationships with bisexual men. The researchers found that bisexual men were better in bed and more caring long-term partners and fathers.

The women who took part in the Australian study said they could not go back to dating straight men after being with bisexual men.

According to the women, straight men carried more emotional and misogynistic baggage.

The reasons were varied. The researchers found that bi men were more open to experimenting in bed. Whereas straight men were most likely to question their own masculinity if a woman asked them to engage in less heteronormative sexual acts, such as anal penetration by their women partners.

"Their partners had to question their masculinity and sexuality," Dr Maria Pallotta-Chiarolli tells The Independent. "Because of this, [bisexual men] were far more sensitive and desired to establish an equitable relationship. They were far more respectful. They were keen fathers and wanted to set up equitable gender relationships in the home."

The women found themselves exploring BDSM, polyamory, and were themselves encouraged to explore same-sex relationships, although most women chose not to go down that path.

However, it would be a mistake to paint relationships between bisexual men and women as black and white utopias, says Dr Pallotta-Chiarolli, who added that bi men are still subjected to "incredible stigmatization, marginalization, and discrimination for their bisexuality."

"One example was of a man who basically married his female partner to cover his same-sex attractions," says Dr Pallotta-Chiarolli.

"He did, however, go overseas and brought his male partner back. He threatened her not to say anything to their religious and ethnic community, and she basically became their housekeeper and for the mother of his children."

Dr Pallotta-Chiarolli says the lack of LGBT sex education in schools is partly to blame for these issues between women and bisexual men and why this pairing is poorly understood.

Still, Dr Pallotta-Chiarolli said, "We had some women who said that after dating a bi man, they could never go back to dating a straight man."

"Bisexual men were more open to designing a relationship that works for them, rather than a straight man who would come in with certain assumptions of what that relationship should be."

She adds: "You always end up getting more than what normative society sets as what a relationship should be."

Malik Yoba says he is planning to file lawsuits against bloggers and "media outlets" that ran the teen transgender prostitute story.

In an interview with Ryan Cameron on Majic 107.5 on Thursday, Sept. 5, Yoba lashed out at bloggers who ran the trans prostitute's story "without proof".

In a Facebook post titled "Surviving Malik Yoba: We had sex, when I was just a teen," Mariah Lopez Ebony said Yoba paid for sexual favors when Ebony was 13 and 16 years old.

But Yoba, 55, told Ryan he didn't even know who Ebony was.

Still, he said he was "considering" suing bloggers who ran the story - not the person who put the story out there. He claimed the scandal has already cost him money and bookings.

Yoba defended his earlier statement that he was attracted to male to female transgenders. He also dismissed critics who say he is gay or homosexual.

Yoba insisted he is not homosexual. He admitted he was molested when he was a boy. Childhood molestation is a common link among homosexuals.

He said heterosexuals gave birth to transgenders, which is why he wants heterosexuals to participate in a transgender workshop he's hosting at the National Trans Visibility March in Washington, D.C. later this month.

"I love all women," he said, adding that no one has slept with more women than he has.

He said he made the announcement because too many people who look like him are dying in the streets.

He said he realized he was attracted to lady boys when he was a teenager.

He also suggested his baby mama was untruthful when she said he didn't prepare her or their 2 children for his shocking revelation.

He denied her claim that he in a romantic relationship with transgender activist Carmen Carrera.

One of Malik Yoba's baby mamas lashed out at the actor for not preparing her family for his transgender confession. Yoba, 51, went viral last week after he confessed he was "trans attracted."

Yoba confessed his sexual proclivities in a lengthy post on his Instagram account.

He wrote in part:

"I love ALL women AND count MYSELF among those that find themselves trans attracted and I too have felt the self imposed shame that comes with that truth but it’s time to speak up,” Yoba wrote. “It is NOT about GENITALIA OR SEX but about attraction to the soul and humanity of an individual and often the beauty that is in the courage and conviction to live ones truth! As a self identified cis heterosexual man I too am learning what it means to be trans attracted."

Most of his followers were supportive of him, but Yoba caused mass confusion when he claimed he was heterosexual.

Terry Vega is the mother of Yoba's two youngest children, Dena, now 18, and Josiah, now 17.

Vega, whose IG name is @terry1andonly, was furious at Yoba for not preparing the children for what must have been shocking news.

After acknowledging she was aware of Yoba's current trans relationship, she wrote:

"Why did you NOT have a conversation with our children and wait till last night to text our 1st born with this info. Yet you were preparing your Public months ago on IG! Our children support you and keep so much a secret of what really goes down with our family dynamic. I asked to meet you over a month ago and you have yet to make time. So here I am !! If you know better then do better! Family is first over ALL."

Malik Yoba's three children are being harassed after his shocking confession that he is attracted to male-to-female (MtF) transgenders.

Malik, 51, confessed he is a "trans attracted" man in a lengthy post on his Instagram account last week.

Malik returned to Instagram on Labor Day to thank his followers for their positive messages and words of encouragement.

"I want to say thank you all. All the good folks who've reached out in the last 24 hours," he said in a video. "Seeing my name, talking about 'trans attraction: Malik Yoba.' So, here's the thing. We're human beings, and we're all part of the guide body, and so, unfortunately, part of our mechanism is that we need to judge and characterize and ostracize and vilify and demonize the things we don't understand."

While the majority of his followers have been positive, the actor said his three children are receiving "foul messages" on social media ever since his revelation.

"Just because you don't understand something does not make it wrong," the actor told the trolls who are harassing his kids.

Malik encouraged his followers to join him for the transgender march on Washington in three weeks.

"September 27, 28, Washington DC, the trans visibility march in DC, I will be there doing my 'Love and Trauma workshop: The Trans Experience'," he added. "I invite you all to join."
