50 Cent celebrated the New Year with his girlfriend, Jamira Haines, in Miami Beach. The 44-year-old TV mogul and his girl were seen shopping with a small army of bodyguards.

New Year was a welcome break in 50 Cent's ongoing feud with rapper French Montana, who was recently released from a hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack.

Fiddy kicked off the rap beef by accusing Montana of buying a 10-year-old Bugatti. He captioned the video: "why this guy keep saying he paid 1.8 for a 08 car he won't be finished paying for till 2025 that only cost 700."

Montana clapped back by showing proof that a 2010 Bugatti does not depreciate very much after it's driven off the dealership lot.

Then 50 claimed he had the paperwork to prove Montana secured a loan to purchase the luxury sports car.

But Montana won the battle when he unearthed an old photo that apparently shows 50 Cent kissing fellow rapper Eminem in a recording studio. There are reports that the image is doctored. What do you think?

Eminem responded to Nick Cannon's diss track that implies a sex tape exists that shows him in a compromising position with another man.

On Monday, Nick dropped his diss track, titled "The Invitation". The track was in response to Eminem calling out Nick's ex-wife, pop star Mariah Carey, in a verse on Fat Joe's new track "Lord Above".

Eminem also called the entertainment mogul "whipped" and "neutered" among other insults.

"I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note/But that other dude's whipped, that pussy got him neutered/Tried to tell him this chick's a nut job before he got his jewels clipped/Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon' do shit/I let her chop my balls off too, 'fore I lost to you, Nick."

On T.I.'s podcast ExpediTIously, Nick said he responded to Eminem's insults to prove to his ex-wife that he's a man. The 39-year-old Libra said he went to Detroit looking for the Slim Shady rap star.

"I called managers," Nick said. "I gotta show my wife I'm a man. I said, 'I know I'm not gonna be able to out rap you but I will whoop your ass.' Those were the exact words at the time. Cooler heads prevailed."

"The Invitation" features an intro from imprisoned Death Row Records founder Suge Knight calling out Eminem before Nick raps:

"I heard your chauffeur got a video of you suckin' a c**k
You paid him off, then laid him off, now who really the opp?
Suge called me the new 'Pac, I ain't no killer but don't push me
How the f**k y'all got me battlin' Elvis Pussly?"

In response to a tweet by HotNewHipHop.com, Nick said Eminem unleashed his lawyers.

"FACTS! His lawyers didn't want that one out! They already on my line," Nick tweeted.

Eminem waited until Monday night to respond to Nick's diss. The 47-year-old Libra demanded an apology from Nick.

Eminem tweeted: "U mad bro? Stop lying on my d**k. I never even had a chauffeur, you bougie f**k."

He later added: "I demand an apology Nicholas, you've made my gardener so jealous!"

Their feud stems from an ongoing beef between Mariah and Eminem that dates back to 2009, when she released the hit single "Obsessed", about a man who claims to be having a relationship with her. An accompanying visual featured the "Hero" singer dressed to look like Eminem

The Slim Shady star claimed he once had a relationship with Mariah that lasted for six months. But Mariah has always denied the claim. The 49-year-old Aries shares 8-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick.

According to HotNewHipHop.com, a furious Nick dropped his response track on Monday, Dec. 9, after taking the weekend off to dig up dirt on Eminem.

On the track, an old skool rapper mentions Eminem's family, his apparent affinity for crack cocaine, and that supposed sex tape involving Eminem with another man.

"I heard your chauffeur got a video of you sucking a c*ck/ You paid him off then lead him off/ Now who really the opps."

Nick said Eminem didn't waste any time sending his lawyers to address the diss track. Responding to a tweet by HotNewHipHop.com, Nick said Eminem's attorneys contacted him about that verse.

"FACTS! His lawyers didn't want that one out," Nick tweeted. "They already on my line."

Nick's claims sparked a frenzy on social media among Eminem's fans who compared notes and scoured old social media posts and Eminem's lyrics for any hint as to who the other male might be.

Question: Who do you think the other male is?

Eminem

Detroit rapper Eminem is no stranger to controversy. The 42-year-old rapper often uses controversy as a marketing tool to sell his albums. Take for instance his new music video for "Shady Cxvpher" in which he threatens to punch Lana Del Ray in her face twice like disgraced former NFL player Ray Rice.

Nicki's much-anticipated track "Roman's Revenge" featuring Eminem leaked online over the weekend. In it she unleashes the full wrath of her Roman Zolanski alter ego on her arch nemesis Lil Kim and other female rappers who defined an era.

Is this the thanks I get for putting you bishes on?
Is it my fault that all of you bishes gone
Should'a sent a thank you note, you little ho
Now I’ma wrap your coffin with a bow.

Nicki, she just mad cause you took her spot
Word, that bish mad 'cause I took the spot?
Well bish if u ain’t sh*ttin', then get off the pot
Got some n*ggas out in Brooklyn that’ll off ya top

Some fool has convinced rapper Nicki Minaj that she is a Hip Hop phenomenon -- and she believes that lie. Whoever or whatever Nicki Minaj thinks she is, she will never be the Queen B!

The truth is, Nicki Minaj and all her silly gimmicks will never impact Hip Hop the way Lil Kim has.

Nicki's gimmick fails badly on this lame track. Her nursery school attack disses are even worse than Nicki's annoying cartoonish voices and exaggerated accents.

No wonder Eminem initially refused to jump on this track with Nicki. Can you blame him? Em kills this track and he didn't even need an annoying voice to do it.

Watch Nicki Minaj perform in Trinidad after the break!

According to loyal reader Kemi of Hiphossip.com, the Kanye and Taylor Swift incident on the MTV VMAs last night was a staged publicity stunt. Supposedly, Beyonce wasn't in on the stunt, but I doubt that.

I should have known. Whenever you put attention an whore like Kanye West together with MTV, some bullsht is going to occur. That's why I no longer waste my time watching awards shows.

You already know what happened last night, so I won't repeat it. But recall that MTV also pulled a similar stunt with Eminem and Borat at the MTV Music Awards back in June.

Obviously this current publicity stunt was a bold move by MTV to thrust a country music artist into the forefront of music. It's a sign of the times when hip hop artists like Kanye and Eminem are used as coons and comedic props instead of as performing artists.

Maybe it's me but it seems like this is the first major awards show in a long time where the emphasis was placed more on rock acts and country music acts than hip hop artists.

Taylor Swift has sold over 10 million albums collectively in the world this year and she holds the record for song downloads this year: 20 million. Meanwhile, Jay Z sold around 350K measly copies of his album The Blueprint 3 in the first week. And he may not go gold before Christmas.

That means there's been a seismic shift in the music universe from hip hop to more traditional acts.

Rappers and hip hoppers better realize that they are now a dying breed.
